Like that one?
I'm glad somebody caught on Twilight. We had a TMC recruiter at the school I'm attending yesterday. It seemed to be business as usual, at least with her spiel....

So you're getting back out on the road, coal? I thought you were driving a honeywagon?

And of course if you're attending orientation for TMC, they must not yet be out of business.

Easy dude , how many yrs do you hav to have at TMC to be a veteran??
I consider any member of this thread currently employed by TMC with at least one year of driving with TMC to be a veteran. If you disagree then feel free to post an alternate definition. I apologize for overlooking you.

You know I thought my personal items seemed to be slightly more disorganized after the inspection than before. Thank you for confirming my suspicions.

tell me more about the "truck appearance" deal... they expect you to line your personal effects up with a ruler? is it like this at all terminals?

when I drive I keep my truck immaculate, perhaps this policy is needed because I have seen drivers with trash piled up to the seats.

hoping they wait till my resume gets there before making a decision...

even with all the poo to go thru at DesM I'd rather deal with that terminal than Jop most anytime...
But without a doubt there are a few persons there at Jop that are fine ppl to deal with...

Doing a combo course of Heavy Equipment/CDL. I'm tested out and finished with the Heavy Equipment end of it as of last Friday.I'm now in the 6 week CDL end of it. A woman from TMC was in yesterday afternoon "extolling the virtues" of life at TMC to us....By this stage in my life, I've learned to take everything somebody pushes on me with a rather large grain of salt, unless I've actually experienced it first hand.

Well Waco you have me beat with my just over one year. I agree about Joplin. I saw nothing from Sheepdancer yesterday, but I might have missed it too.

Carter: The truck appearance deal has always been in the past mostly that your floor was clean, no trash, nothing on the dash, etc. They have cracked down and are making examples out of a few people right now. By the way they also are filling out the truck appearance form every time you visit the wash bay in Des Moines now, so beware. There is a whole one page form in triplicate with different checkboxes for things they find wrong.

I got a call out of the blue today. I will be starting with TMC's Home Depot Dedicated account at Norwood MA on Tuesday. That should get me home at least every weekend, and every night during the busy season. I am excited!
