Woooooo just had a fun time in the Milwaukee snow storm, took me about 3 1/2 hrs to get from Beloit to Sheboygan, and then another 4 hrs to get from Sheboygan back down to Delavan, exit 21..had to go through Milwaukee twice, haha...i think it was Mother Nature punishing me for taking 2 weeks off. Took a well needed 2 week vacation, had to turn in my Century class, and got a Classic...im kinda likin this long nose truck, rides a lot better....

Not sure when/if you passed me. We got to t-call the load. Dumped it at a yard outside Chicago. Then ran back up to get some frozen pizzas. Stopped in Elkhart, IN (rest stop) for the night.

We don't deliver until 11 PM in Aberdeen, so we may be waiting until after sunrise to leave for a change

Got empty this afternoon n Palmyra, Pa-

Now Layover(no pay) at Petro, Carlisle Pa- 11 trucks ahead empty and they are running out of Monday freight too.

I'm strongly considering calling Knight --Monday morning and seeing if they have a opening in their Monday Orientation here in Carlisle. I could unload this truck into a storage unit around here- return it to New Kingstown- Process in and maybe out in a Knight truck by Friday.

Dont blame ya....that "Regional Dispatch" (or whatever it was you called it) would really stink. Bunch of empty trucks and nobody to deal with them till they are all "bunched" up in the same area, and not enought freight for all. Does Schaeffer ever use "broker" freight to help fill the empty trucks. Assigned dispatchers, I believe, is the only way to go.
Does Knight have assigned dispatch. Seems to me from some of the posters here on CAD, that drive for Knight are pretty satisfied.

Why call them. Just walk across the street from the Petro.

I tried pulling my Shaffer Rig into their terminal yesterday afternoon- wouldn't let me thru the gate. Tried calling their "24 Driver Recruiting" number as pictured on that large sign on the fence--- got the "after hours" no one's home message-go figure. Tried walking around to a door and found it all locked up( they must be afraid of their own drivers so much-- they have to keep even them locked out)

Headborg...given its Easter weekend, cut em some slack. Keep the number and try tomorrow. May be a good fit for you. May even get one of the Pete 379's. I think I remember you saying elsewhere that you prefer the "aero" trucks, though, Volvo should work for ya.

Im in Madison Wi, at the 1st stop of 4, plus a pickup starting in the morning.
