checked in 2/18/08 so a week ago. had a cracked injestor cup. jammed in the head borke two pullers trying to get it out so thay needed to pull the head. we have the dubius distinction of being the FIRST volvo with the D13 anyware to have the head pulled so thay didn't know for sure what parts thay needed, volvo rep's standing around but it's not making it go any faster, a few of the parts thay ordered (overnite) didn't come in friday.

well last Monday we got to volvo and they said they would get it in that night or Tuesday morning. Tuesday they said it would be Tuesday night before it was fixed, Wednesday said there are having trouble getting the injector cups pulled, Thursday they said they ordered all the parts overnight so they could pull the head, Friday parts mix up volvo didn't ship the right parts,volvo doesn't work but a half day on Saturday and not on Sunday, called today Monday and was told the parts would be in today and they would have it ready tomorrow......

This is one of disadvantages of having a new truck with a new engine design that no one has worked on before. We have the first D13 that has ever had the head pulled

 

 

home.. yay!!!!!

 

The bigger disadvantage is being in Texas...where do mechanic gets in a hurry to work on anythng!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:


Yeah ...sure we have time to work on it! Bring it in and drop it of tomorrow...we will call you when it's ready.

3 weeks later....(ring, ring, ring) Flood...Hello? Volvo: Yeah...mr. Flood...this is mr. Dry...down at the volvo shop. We finally got your truck ready, you can come by anytime tomorrow and pick it up !!!

you really need to get a cheap wifi card for that laptop--- surely it's got a pcmia card slot? you can pick up a wifi card at truckstop for under $40.00 then use the parking lot wifi.

Where all you been this time? I've been looking for a swift flatbed truck with a hot body in it--- all I see is the usual -- slobbie sweat pant wearing 300lbs unbathed male drivers that look like they havent taken a bath yet because they're still learning to read so they can understand "which" door to enter and which way to turn the knob.

 

i'm now at the petro in wheeler ridge, california. i notice that sprint finally has high speed coverage out here. there's also a mcdonalds across the street, and looks like they're putting in panda express, which i can care less for. it's half-assed, wanna-be chinese food.

 

company flunkie like you we picked the motel and thay are covering it. breakdown pay sucks but it is the first time in over four years we have been down for more than a day so O-WELL and a friends dad lives intown and his sister is just out of town so it's not to bad, he's just mad that it's not him. called volvo and the RIGHT parts came in and thay are working on it now so it will be ready around 1400 tomorrow....!!
