The thing I hate worse about driving the 10 thru Phoenix (and trying to find the truckstop) is --- it's down in that deep ditch! You can't even see any of the signs along the road- easy to mis the truckstop or any of the stores-- you've almost have to be a local or know the name of the street/exit.

I'm actually very seriously considering going reefer. I suspect that reefer traffic will be a bit better than dry van traffic as the economy gets worse. OTOH, the segregation of Crete and Shaffer seems to minimize daily.

Tonight is a true CF. We loaded on Wednesday in Jerome. Some dry milk. Thought it was a dairy load, so did a washout of trailer. It wasn't 100% dry. So we had to wait. On top of the shipper being about two hours late getting to us anyway. We barely got out of there on Wednesday. Delivery scheduled today @ 14:00. Busted hump yesterday and today. Looking at both our available hours, tried to get load t-called in NE last night. No go. Tried to get dispatch to see if consignee would take load late today. No response. Weather finally got shitty enough to park it. Sure, it cleared up later, but it was after the appt. time. Still no word from dispatch. So we may be stuck in So. Beloit IL at a Love's until???

 

Ill be heading up past you Sunday afternoon, Have 4 stops and a Pickup in Madison, Manitowac, Ashwaubanon, Wausau, and P/Up in Greenbay, all starting Monday AM. If your still up there Ill wave as I go by. :lol:

Tonight, Brookville PA, TA....Then, in AM, eastbound to Hazleton to P/Up the Wisconsin Trailer.
