Well my husband made it with his trainer to the consignee. He said the place is a dump. He said there is wholes in the building walls. I do not know if the area around it is bad. Is any familiar with Worcester, Massachusetts?

I told him if he ever needs to take another load up there alone sometime that he should make sure he stays at a truck stop a few miles away.

He is not sure were the next load will take them. They have a 7:30 am delivery time.

I hope the next load comes quick for them.

Until tomorrow!

I got VERY lost the one and only time I was in Worcester. Ended up going the wrong way at my exit and ended up on a very narrow street full of Pubs and lots of patrons with a 53 footer.  Lucky I got out of that one OK.

The only good thing about it was getting a load from Glouster to Southern California. Lots of miles!! And way outta there!

Good to hear your hubby is doing well, keep us up to date.

I told my husband about your post and he said there are allot of narrow streets there.

I think he is glad to be out of there.

And you are right about his next load. I will post it in my update!

My husband said that the place is Worcester looked even worse in daylight.
He said he hopes that he does not have to go there again but if he does he will stay at a truck stop.

My husband and his trainer will be picking up their next load tomorrow in Newark, New Jersey. It will be a load of Aluminum coils. They are staying in Connecticut tonight and the load will be picked up sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. They will be going to Chatsworth California.

A place my husband is very familiar with!

I am not sure when the load is due yet. I will find out tomorrow. It seems as if Davis Transport does have long load miles which is good!

Your husband is braver than I am spending the night in Worcester MA. I suppose with two people in the truck it might not be so bad.

Tell me - were there any parts missing from the truck the next morning?

Well my husband got to drive by the bronks today! They were on the freeway but he said it was quite a site. Not a place we would ever want to take a vacation.

They were loaded up around 2:00 and securing and tarping the load took around two hours. I am certain some of it was my husband learning from his trainer. And so it was my husbands first experience with actually tarping a load. He did say he got his work out today!

My husband said that at the shipper this morning it was crazy! The trucks and traffic and everything. He used to drive the L.A. freeways so it is hard to imagine how much more crazy it could have been.

After they got loaded and secured the load, they only drove about 75 miles to a truck stop. They are in Bloomsbury, New Jersey they will get up in the morning and get a fresh start.

Funny thing I think I actually had more to talk about today than he did, with my brakes on my car, stepdads dead battery, playing around with the chainsaws and my sons first debate.

Well I would not say brave. It was more likely like being unaware
Maybe the fact that there were not any truck-stops around there should be an indication that they should not stay in that area.

Luckily there were no parts missing from the truck and they still had the load in the morning!

But I don't think Worcester MA could have been even close to the time I got lost in Oakland California at night. I did not know anything about Oakland except for the Oakland Raiders. I had NO IDEA how bad it was there. Somehow I got off there and I would not turn around to get back on the freeway I kept driving until there were not people on every corner staring and giving us dirty looks. I am white and the looks let us know we did not belong there. WARNING never go to Oakland at night!!

That does not surprise me! This was years ago when I ended up getting lost there before I was married to my husband! It was one scary place at night. I never have any desire to go even close to that area again as long as I live.

Well last night they only drove about 300 miles. Yesterday my husband said it was pouring down rain and they either had a choice of a short driving day yesterday or today. So they took the short day yesterday. They stayed in Virginia overnight.

His trainer is not teaming so they can only use the hours of service for one. This was unlike at May Trucking Company were they both drove on two separate logs and used as many hours for two as they wanted to.

While my husband did not drive into New Jersey he did drive out. I think the more bad weather, messed up traffic and hard situations he can go through with his trainer the better. I am glad if they will hit snow and other nasty bad stuff while he is training.

My husband said his trainer is working with him on things. I am not sure what or how much. I only pray my husband obtains the skills and good common sense to make him a good driver and that he will have longevity in this business, and that in a years time those other two mistakes will be long forgiven and forgotten by the other companies.
