This only affected office personel. Flatbed freight is slow but I haven't sat more then 1 day at a time. But I've had weeks were I get 1 load, then sit, then get a load, then sit. I've had a few 3 load weeks. I usually do 1 trip per day. I'm not about to go out of business, but the paychecks are smaller than I like.

You are a rumor, recognizable only as deja vu, and dismissed just as quickly. You don't exist. You were never even born. Anonymity is your name, silence is your native tongue. You are no longer part of the system. You are above the system, over it, beyond it. We are "them." We are "they." We are the Men in Black.

I dont now nor have I ever driven for TMC. But I will say this. I have been out here a long time and I have yet to hear of any company that has a better training program then TMC. I have yet to find a company that takes better care of there equipment. Drivers come and drivers go but I think that you would find there turn over rate much lower then the industry norm. Some drivers just cant be happy no matter where they go. But its my honest opinion that if you cant make it here your not gonna make it anywhere. This company spends millions on driver comforts!

Sounds like you understand the "Big Picture", but making statements like that, you get you considered a reruiter / cheerleader / company man blah - blah - blah.

Instead of someone sitting on the outside looking in and making a .2 comment, there are some on here that will blackball you for making such a general comment !!

Thanks & Good comment and keep the open mind !

Ok, I will ask. Why is it 25 degrees in your truck?

I dont work for TMC now or ever. But i believe in passing on a good word when its deserved. There are a few good companies out here that I would recomend to drivers. Im just trying to help a new guy out. If someone takes offense for me recomending a good company then chances are they are one of those drivers thats gonna whine no matter who or what they are driving for. OTR driving is not for everyone. Its a huge change of life and alot of people get in expecting something totaly diferent then what it really is! However usually because of school bills and other reasons they are stuck out here! those are the guys that whine about everything and blame the companies for everything! If you do a little research you will find that the drop out rate is right around 68% for drivers with less then one year experience! Most people just cant handle the life change! And those people need someone to blame for there failures or false expectations of the trucking industry.

Anyway these are just my opinions.. Hope in some way i was able to help you out!

I will have to agree they do take care of there equipment and seem to have a very good training program. If you don't mind all the BS its not a bad place to work, and yes I did drive for them for some time. I just got tired of the BS and made a move. I am glad I did. If your starting new in trucking TMC is good place to start.

Seriously, are the drivers responsible for polishing up the chrome and aluminum on the truck they are assigned? If so, how are you compensated for that? Just something I have always wondered and never asked. Not trying to cause any problems so please do not delete this.
