It is beginning to sound like you might have a lemon. I would contact road repair, your FM gets copies of your mesages to them, report everything wrong with your truck in detail. Then contact your FM and tell him to start checking on a new truck. If you simply get this one fixed, you will get $50.00 a day in breakdown pay. It is better to get a new truck and be able to work.

I was told by the people that did my release and test out that I would be able to trade trucks ASAP just to let my FM know.It has 390K on it and was treated very poor by past drivers for sure.I told my FM about needing to trade trucks asap and he said it was a problem and was not sure when it could be done.First thing monday Im calling the FM and #1 is get a new truck next week.

Maybe you'll get one of the new 2008's sitting at DM. I would rather have a 2007 with low mileage. That is what I have.

Your FM does't decide if you get a new truck or not. Just overwhelm the shop with everything that is wrong with your truck. Your FM's responsibility will be to get you to a terminal so you can swap out.

I would like to think at 390K it would be easy to get out of it.A nice new 08 would be sweet as I was told they have a new qualcomm with gps maps or some thing in the dash.

I was told they are not issuing them at the moment because not enough truck stops have the Ultra Low Sulpher Fuel.

Before you take a 08 with a CAT. I'd find out if they still have their REGEN problem with the emmissions. I sat in Cheyenne waiting for some parts. Talked to a guy with a 08 (i think 8 or more times) in the shop for the same problem. Will not go into regen mode. This is in 50,000 miles. He was there most of the day.

If I was you I'd take any 07 before a 08, from the information I've heard. The company the guy drove for had 10 of them. The company at the time was very close to trading them, for Cummins.
