Default Re: Final Year End Pay

My final total gross after deductions for the year is $51363.24. I'm not posting this to brag only to show anyone looking At TMC what kind of pay is possible.
Keep in mind that I work for:
1) Mileage
2) Monday - Friday with only 1 weekend out. My choice.
3) I run intrastate Texas and rarely leave Texas.
4) My runs usually give me around 2500 miles per week.[/quote

Since you posted your, I thought I would post mine...

$58,601.88
Keep in mind that I work for
1) Mileage
2) Monday thru Friday unless going to west coast.
3) I usually get through the house 2-3 times per week.
4) I average around 600 miles a day, with 90% drop and hook and NO TARPING!
5) I ALWAYS get at least a 10 hour LEGAL break everyday.
I am not bashing TMC by posting this. I just wanted people to see what they could make by working a little easier.

Well now then! Some people actually enjoy the physical exercise involved in strapping and tarping loads. So it is not all bad! I gained almost 30 pounds when driving a reefer/van from sitting on my butt and not doing anything but driving. Lost almost 40 during my short stay with TMC.

Hey Shadowknight, I was looking at your photos on flickr. Got a question about Photo # 100_0084 with the caption "This steel tarp was just a little too short." . Do you, or did you have to adjust that tarp or is that good enough to just run with it? I've been toying with the idea of trying flatbedding but my back and knees are bad but maybe it wouldn't be that bad. Maybe it would be a big mistake. Still don't know.

Yeah, but for me I would rather spend my (personal) time going to the gym to work out and not sweat my a$$ off for free while trying to convince myself as well as others that I am actually enjoying it.

As you say, to each is own! I rather enjoyed the flatbed work, and miss it on occasion. And for you to criticize or accuse one of pretending that they enjoy their work is severely off base. I also enjoyed the $1500 plus dollar pay checks and only driving 2500 miles a week also. And only maybe 1 out of every four loads required a tarp.

Oh well, some people will never change!

Default not sure

Believe it or not I only remember his last name. It was Carbaugh. He was a complete idiot.

Very first time in the truck with him, fresh out of school....He throws me the keys in PA and says "wake me up when we get to Nashville, TN.

What a trainer. I did use him for an example of what NOT to do as a trainer.

Finally the last week I was with him, he was actually driving.....just to the donut shop, and he wrecked the truck. I told him he should get back in the sleeper where he belonged.

I've been with TMC a couple months and wanted to ask about ac/dc inverters in this thread.

Do any of you use them, or know of people who do without getting caught?

Is an inverter as small as 50W detectable?

I love the job... but it's getting really old charging my laptop anywhere i can find an AC plug.

I had what I thought was a DC power cord on order from Gateway... after 2 failed attempts at delivery (them getting my address mixed up) I got the shipment, and it's just another power inverter.

Is there a product out there for Gateway laptops... or any type of universal power supply that would work?

Thanks
