This morning on the news I say lots of snow. Especially around DSM and NYC. Are you enjoying the snow Fred? Did you get to see the Christmas tree lighting? My wife and I made it to the Christmas tree lighting and carolling here in Austin last night. Just keep the rubber on the road and the shiny side up. Yes, my girl and I watched them light the tree. Every time I see it it feels like the first time all over again. It's soooo cool! The positive "energy" I guess you'd call it is overwhelming around Manhattan when they flick the switch and all 30,000 lights come on. Absolutely beautiful! Be safe out there!!

I don't want you to do this, but i want you to "think" about it... cheeriooss... BTW i'm not saying this to destroy company property, but my 387 that i had had similar problems @ 215k (when i dropped it on her last ride with me) and the CEL came on all the time, she lost power for a second, and i bet it's all b/c of bad software or electrical problems (witch she had a ton of) and in general a cheaply assembled TMC truck by pete. right thereafter that i quit TMC i drove a 387 that was owner op specd, and let me tell ya... a world apart. now i know for sure that i won't be buying a used TMC truck no matter what... but that again is just my opinion. now i drive a 2000 freightliner century class for an owner/op, and ahe has 832k miles on her, but she runs much much much nicer than any pete i drove so far... yes the ride may be a bit more bumpy, but i didn't have any problems with the truck leaving me on the side of the road. she has been babied all her life by the owner, and i keep that up. if he would sell it, and i'd have the money, i'd buy it in an instant, and run with it till at least 1.2million miles before overhauling it... makes sense to take care of equipment... EDIT: oh and the best part, if i run hard (read 70-75MPH) it gets 6.5 MPG, and if i try and be nice (read 57-62MPH) she getts 7.9-8.3 MPG so eat that CAT engine... lol... Go Detroit 60 with 500 horses cheerioos

but that again is just my opinion. I hate to say it but.....I've had JB Hunt freightliners that didn't have near the problems of this truck. Just don't get me started on the scared wittle puddy tat under the hood. It runs 2-3 mph below the set speed and is afraid of hills.

Is there a reason they buy the petes? How about the reason behind the cat motors? It seems other motors are stronger and get better MPG so why stick with the cat?Is it just a money thing.
