I trust her more than the Ford dealer who helped themselves to a few things in my car once.

OK, I'll take some pictures. What do you want to see, my clean carpet?
After my last load was canceled I was ready to deadhead out to some place better then I got an idea. I sent an email to my contact at TMC and wadda know, got a load of copper going 2 hours from my home for $1.50 per mile for 2,000 miles. This time I KNOW I have 44,000 pounds on my back. I'm not sure where I am right now. I think in New Mexico. I usually go to bed at 6 EST but got to the mine at 3 and didn't get loaded and out until 7. Couldn't find a place to pull over in Arizona on the back roads so I had to wait until I hit Rt 10. I'm at a Pilot and got in at 11. I didn't even come close to my HOS but did exceed my internal clock. Before I left to pick up the load I slipped a little in the truck and broke the arm rest off my chair. Now they were both broken and I said, that's it. I went to the chrome shop across the street and had them put in a new gray leather Elite seat. Nice seat for sure. I'm fooling around with the truck while they are putting the seat in and notice my front LED turn signal is all screwed up and not working right. They just happen to have the exact model I have so I get out the soldering iron and replace the light. I'm going along and come to the New Mexico scales and my prepass gives me a red light to pull in. What the F$^K. I have a permit for NM and a prepass, they know who I am so what the heck. It's like a Burger King where you pull up to the window. They say leave your truck there and come in. It's two freaking dyke's running the show and both are playing the butch roll. They ask to see my registration and New Mexico tax paper. Then they ask, your pulling a flatbed. I turn over my shoulder and look out the 20X20 foot picture window then look back and say....YA. Then she asks what am I hauling. I look out the window again and say, um, nothing with a look on my face like....DUH...And that's it. What a bunch of bone heads. So it's 6am my time and just having coffee and trying to wake up. Looks like I'll be driving in the daylight most of the day although I have no idea what time it really is. They changed the schedule for daylight savings time and my GPS did not update itself so that has one time, my radio has another time which I can't figure out how to change, my cell phone knows where it is so it's 3 hours behind everything and my watch I've left alone and going on that. |
