Most small electric heaters (900-1500W) pull alot of juice, even though they are small. Not sure that most inverters are up to the task. Even my 3000W gen works rather hard to run one.

I have a CO detector in my tractor.

lol-Sometimes I can hear Papa Smurf way up here
What's the deal with Papa Smurf, The Aztec, and the Cadillac Man advertising in Houston? The last time I was there I heard all three of them advertising rides across the border. I know Houston is closer to Mexico than Michigan, but it's not so close I'd want to take a ride to the border! Maybe some idiot just recorded it and was playing it back.

That smoke really could have killed you if you were sleeping with no smoke detector  You are lucky you caught it. Let that be a lesson to all. Be careful with those things, no matter how safe they say they are.

I did a little checking and it looks like a ceramic heater should not be used with converter that uses modified sine wave technology which most are. You need a pure sine wave converter. It's a pain to go out and close the heater valves when it's hot outside then turn them on when you want heat in the morning. I'm thinking of having those valves replaced with a quarter turn handle. I wouldn't be surprised if they make electric valves to replace them so you can turn them on and off from the cab.

This Pilot I'm now is one of those one stop shopping needs place. Sort of like a Walmart super center!!! I mean, there is absolutely everything you need within 1/4 mile of this complex. I may have my side windows tinted today and my big picture window in the sleeper so I don't have to have the curtain up all the time.

I'm heading over the border today for some fun. I hope my cell phone works in case I get a call for a load. The Cadillac man is on the CB non stop advertising. His shop is about 100 feet from where I'm parked. He had a special yesterday. Included in the package was a shot of tequila, cigar and a Viagra!!! lol Not kidding!

Yup, I'll be careful. I'm always on the lookout. Like they say, trouble never comes to those who are expecting it.

I got a load of coils to Utah for tomorrow so I'm all set. These coils are on pallets laying down and only require straps but I HAVE TO TARP!!!!

Off to Mexico in a bit.

I don't remember but it was only like $1.40. Doesn't matter, it was canceled. I'm almost wondering if some big company is coming in just to move there trucks??

Oh well, at least I got to Mexico, shots of tequila, Cuban cigars and some nice ladies who were very friendly. They took me from the truck stop to the Mexican border bridge and dropped me off. I walked across the bridge and a guy was waiting in a car on the other side. He took me everywhere I wanted to go and waited. Total cost for all this transportation to and from Mexico and the Mexican driver was $15.00.

Had my truck steam cleaned and detailed inside for $40 bucks while I was gone. The carpet looks brand new and she cleaned everywhere. I mean, I'm trying to find dirt or dust and can't.

Freaking cops everywhere in this Pilot. I'm talking probably 15 all the time walking around everywhere. Not sure what there looking for or just keeping the peace but no trouble. It's a nice place here. Maybe they are looking for visual clues as far as illegals, not sure.

I figure I'll sit here tomorrow and then leave the next day at noon if nothing comes in. Not sure where I'll go but I'll make that decision on Thursday morning if I'm still here.
