Well...I reset in Lake Station Last week. Started fresh on Wednesday 4/30, 2 trips to Wisconsin,(11 stores between the 2 trips) and back (Hazleton, Pa). 1 local shag. (took all of 1hour round trip). Then up to Boston area delivered 5 stores, and return to Hazleton. 3300 miles. Pickled the 70. 34hr reset at Dupont Pa (Wilkes Barre/Scranton) Petro.

Not at a truckstop and not even close to where I should be right now...
I arrived at 9:45am today for my 11am appointment. Well, somebody screwed up because the load doesn't deliver until tomorrow. So, I'm about 2 blocks from the consignee in New Brunswick, NJ until tomorrow now. I should've been unloaded, went and grabbed my reload and back home by now. Yay me...

I'm at my delivery in Mattoon,IL a little north of Effingham. I was supposed to unload at 06:00 tomorrow morning but they unloaded me tonight which works out good. I'll wake up early as usual and head to my pick up 2 hours away in Jacksonville,IL which is supposed to be drop and hook ready at 03:00 tonight. Pick that up and head for Mira Loma,CA for Monday morning. Once again I'll get there Saturday afternoon to sneak in a 34 hour restart. Thankfully we have a terminal in Ontario which is only 5 miles from my delivery. 8) 8)

Long frickin' story. I finally stumbled into the Kohl's DC around 5. Went a few miles back up the road to Oak Grove (better amenities than the terminal in KC if I got stuck). Miraculously got a load, picked it up, then got a kidney stone. Back in Oak Grove, MO, and will likely be here for a couple of days passing the stone. If you're in town and swing into the Petro here, I'll be here (unless I'm at a pharmacy getting my Rx pain meds). Right now, parked right across from the driver's entrance. The "you should have started at a small Mom & Pop" group were busy over at your "first year OTR" thread--- surely you're not going to let them get the last word in ---are you? I haven't seen a single small Company that hires newbie's and will pay what Crete paid you during training & start you solo at .34 and give you a raise to .41? after only 12 months + benefits. Sure, they will give you a much better truck with more bells & whistles, more balls, and maybe even treat you much more respect( like an Adult) but still they can't deliver the $$$$ and benefits.

Tonight I'm in middle of nowhere Kansas. If you don't know where that is it's a bit west of Pratt on 54. I'm glad I stopped for the day when I did because it's wasn't very long before a storm rolled in. HEAVY rain and now there's hail coming down hard plus lots of wind blowing my truck around. If you never hear from me again the tornado took me away. 8) 8)

don't you have a pair of ruby slippers? Wizard of OZ with a slightly trucker twist-- instead of your house landing on the Wicked witch-- your rig lands on a DOT officer instead- instead of a yellow brick road-- a road made of discarded trucker pee bottles

don't you have a pair of ruby slippers? I hadn't been across 54 in quite a while and went through Greenburg which apparently got leveled by a tornado a year ago. It was weird to see a whole town almost wiped out. I was just west of there in Mullinville for the night and couldn't believe my Verizon air card was working. Tonight I'm in Winslow,AZ after a nice 700+ mile day. I'll finish off the 500 miles left tomorrow. 8) 8)
