I'm in over my head here- digging around head first in this gigantic pile of elephant dung looking for diamonds....How long should I keep digging? Will I find what I'm looking for? Before the smell....asphyxiates me.
Ok, I've got that off my chest....back to work.

arrived home at 2pm -- will have to leave out early Monday. But there seems to be a problem-- Fleet manager said don't get used to this-- he won't be able to allow me to go 120 miles out of route to get home every weekend.
Suggested I needed to leave a personal vehicle 200 miles away in Olive Branch-- if I wanted to be home. So what happened to Regional -- Work 5- home 3 out of 4 weekends? not -- occasionally "by the house" for 5 -10 hours once a week. Looks like we're going to have to figure a plan out Monday. The truck is getting lighter with less of my stuff in it-- than heavier.

I'm at the Flying J in Joplin,MO. I don't know why the hell I stopped here. The parking is tight and the drivers on either side of me were too lazy to get out and check the back of their trailers to get them back as far as possible, leaving several feet behind their trailers and the trailer they are backed up to leaving me no room to swing out of my spot when I leave early in the morning. I might be able to swing out to the right but not the left. Tomorrow evening I'll be near Columbus,OH. Either the TA in London or the Pilot in Columbus. Probably the TA because there won't be a spot for me by the time I get to the Pilot, but my delivery is right down the road from there. :? :?

Ran into another Heartland driver- that suggested I ask about getting set up on a Sears run to our local Sears from Olive Branch to get me home weekends-- he said he'd delivered here several times- but thinks we lost that run to Pumpkin Truckn'. Need to get something worked out fast-- I can handle a small black mark on my DAC-- but it doesn't take 6 months to figure out there's something rotten in Denmark. Waiting that long would look much worse. Then again my DAC looks like: 6months, 6years, 4years, 3years------ guess I could stick it out here 2 years to atleast keep the general curve consistent. Does this indicate my tolerance for B.S. is gradually declining? is this because of getting older in truckn' years or just general aging? |
