don't you have a pair of ruby slippers?
I made it, luckily I didn't need them I hadn't been across 54 in quite a while and went through Greenburg which apparently got leveled by a tornado a year ago. It was weird to see a whole town almost wiped out. I was just west of there in Mullinville for the night and couldn't believe my Verizon air card was working.

Tonight I'm in Winslow,AZ after a nice 700+ mile day. I'll finish off the 500 miles left tomorrow. 8) 8)
SWEET! with miles like you're getting-- I might have to re-consider that .39 cpm offer Big Blue offered...

apu
long haul
do they "bounce" or dead head you home ? or have you go "by the house- with a load that delivers--" ( and only get to kiss your baby then gone again?
are you allowed to drop(and kingpin lock) your trailer when you go home?

They usually give me a load that delivers near my house and then I dead head from there home. Sometimes I get a load that takes me home but I also get to stop by the house for the day or night before it delivers and then go home for time off. As far as I know nobody has a load while they are on home time, always empty. As far as the trailer I used to almost always take it to 1 of 2 customers that we had trailers at, the farthest 70 miles away. Since I've been back I've taken the trailer home every time. I have plenty of room for it and is much better than wasting time getting rid of it and getting an empty when I come off home time. I'm sure they send the trailer home with me to cut down on wasted miles. As far as I know they don't want the trailer disconnected for home time. They always ask me if I can keep them hooked up at home. They might work with you on this.

I've been at our terminal in Ontario,CA since yesterday afternoon doing a restart. I'll deliver my load 3 miles away in the morning and then who knows 8) 8)

I'm at home and even more tired than I when I arrived here on thursday. I had a great time hanging out with friends are riding bikes but it's time to get back on the road. I'm going on the board at 7am and then hopefully I'll get that 3000 mile load...yeah right.

Parking is good there ,but the place is a dive other wise , Like all AM bests . And if you're not fueling there or don't spend I think like $25.00 dollars in store purchases and your company doesn't get free parking there it costs $12 bucks to park for 10hr break

unfortunately the other option is far worse than here. it's the punjabi owned one at mack road/highway 99/stockton blvd, behind costco. i went there once only because my 14hrs came up as i pulled up on the public scale after picking up from campbell's soup. the showers were absolutely horrid. they made the swift terminal's showers in fontana look clean and proper in comparison. people ask me quite a bit, "how in the hell can you take a shower in that terminal's facilities?" my answer is, "i've taken showers in worse." the triangle truck stop in westley, california is also a dive and a half. its showers are also quite gross. the times i've rolled into there have been during the night and the new stop down the road is quite packed. it's not worth trying to find a spot in there after 2200hrs, pacific time.
