Slimland. Hello, Slimland..... there is a bunch of funny stuff herein and I even cracked up when I read Even NOW, a man can be sent to prison for committing sodomy, even with a consenting adult. That's direct! I want to play! Rules are written who can break what? God is not on a thrown so let's start there. The same laws of the injil (moses) are pretty much the same laws that govern all conscious species; evolution or mass upon molecular structures follow a sort of instinct but we can discuss this. and boys playing with each other is not normal .... in the animals; to release frustration or inflict dominance ..... in human species; for fun but fortunately they can't breed and why rules on self indulgence do have a little merit. I have fun with gay debates, I win! But usually someone gets their feelings hurt once they realize the outward showing just leaves the possibility of another child having to deal with the same shit they had too!

Fozzy: Don't blame ME or Dems or Liberals for the fact that the BASE of the conservative party is the Moral Majority! WE are not invading your bedroom, cutting off your "equal" benefits based on whether you marry according to the Biblical interpretation of such (against the Constitutional mandate of separation of church and state.)
Everyone knows that the old "Southern Democrats" were about as conservative as they come... being mostly landowners who longed for the days of slavery. And the Confederate battle flag is now the banner of the racist Aryan nations.
I was no big fan of LBJ, but I think he was on the right track with the "great society" thing. He believed that it would strengthen ALL Americans if ALL Americans had a chance at the dream.
As for FDR, I must admit, I wasn't born yet, so I'm not completely "up" on this. Please explain to me how he was the biggest Fascist on the Earth. And don't leave out the part about how he was elected to four terms with the help of conservative, defense minded Americans.

I think Fossy is fuzzy and I struck a nerve.... eh!
I am about as equal with people as any you would ever meet but i will never support the 'poor me' attitude of any group that is only doing the whinning for polical reasons versus what is right. Like the people of Israel are persecuting people and jailing others for being a part of the WW2 but yet them bastards are living in the homes of Palenstinians since just taking over that land after that very war. There are kids looking across the fence at people living in the home their fathers built with their bare hands. I married a Jewish women and I am not prejudice, each person is equal but it is them that seek these special consideration when they are persecuting other by their own selfish needs, that make me sick. So a gay is happy fine... but keep it away from developing minds. If all 10 year old boys were under the impression that was normal, 'sleep overs' of kids all over the world would be a scarry event because once boys know they can, they will! And then you have more preachers! OR let's put it in another context; what is better helping the 1 out of 100 understand, they are not strange or help the new' 20 out of 100 who are told it is normal and have real difficulties later in life wondering why they can't reproduce or begin to have real issues, as it appears. Sexuality is fun but society no longer live as the Spartens. Be different in closed quarters when that difference is for self satisfactions. Rules are rules; be compassionate to others or get lost. We the majority are what rules are made for, not individual who think democracy is for creating venues for selfish pursuits. Same thing theology says. Same rules evolution has. There is no niche in future developments of life within gay unions. They will go extinct left to their own demise. The topic is about rules and who is responsible. Only responsible people take others into consideration before themselves. It was written then and should be held of value today. The problem is as we become free we begin to experience more and some stay focussed on personal satisfaction and then use that freedom to corrupt others. Sad isn't it that this one group wants all of society to change, so they can be free to be queer. They want all of us to make sure our children know that even though all of nature shows us a mommy and daddy critter makes a baby critter but in human species, daddy and daddy or mummy and mummy is OK too when that whole scenario is because they wnat to be freaky behind closed doors. So what is right the majority and maintaining compassion and care towards that unity or .... to approve of what ever some self seekers can push with their legal teams into the public eye as being attacked by bigots. Who is the bigot? The selfish, not the people!

And I think THAT is just a convenient "dodge." Of course no one in government is going to overtly espouse anti-religious policies or Satanism. But the Dems are not actively trying to pass laws and ammend the constitution to re-inforce religious mandates.
Everyone knows that the old "Southern Democrats" were about as conservative as they come... being mostly landowners who longed for the days of slavery. And the Confederate battle flag is now the banner of the racist Aryan nations.
It does if you'll admit that these Southern Dems were essentially demanding "State's Rights" a purview of privileged Conservative landowners, and rejecting government intervention. And like I said, you won't find a Democrat amidst the White Supremacist hate mongering Aryan nations.
I was no big fan of LBJ, but I think he was on the right track with the "great society" thing. He believed that it would strengthen ALL Americans if ALL Americans had a chance at the dream.
Hmmm.... let's see.... how about the rise of the Roman Empire, funded almost entirely by the tributes to Caesar paid by the people of the conquered lands. Besides, the current aministration is funding its policies by backdoor taxes like the gas tax (which is increased by increasing gas prices), cutting social programs, and putting the balance on CREDIT.
As for FDR, I must admit, I wasn't born yet, so I'm not completely "up" on this. Please explain to me how he was the biggest Fascist on the Earth. And don't leave out the part about how he was elected to four terms with the help of conservative, defense minded Americans.
Oh, and I'd like to know how you feel he destroyed the Constitution. Fascism: A system of government characterized by dictatorship, belligerant nationalism and racism, glorification of WAR, etc. The root word, fasces, was the symbol of authority carried by Roman magistrates. Sounds more like Dubya to me. "you're either with us or against us." "wanted, dead or alive." "I would not leave Iraq even if Laura and Barney were the ONLY ones still supporting me." "I don't CARE if eavesdropping on Americans is against the law... I NEED this power for the good of the people." FDR inherited a country in which the failure of Capitalism had led to the Crash of '29, landowners had overworked the land resulting in the Dust Bowl, and he was re-elected 3 times by landslide electoral votes proving that the vast majority of Americans approved of his policies. Yet YOU try to blame all our societal woes and economic problems on him SIMPLY because he was a Democrat? P.S. I'm heading to Ft Benning, GA for the rest of the week, so I'll be offline till Saturday or Sunday

Are you one of the two friends that Slimland invited here? If so... welcome. Don't worry about hijacking the thread... Slim and I are done with it. But, perhaps you could tie all your random thoughts into one premise and present them in a cogent form.

Both- so I quit trying to stay 'caught-up' about 2 days ago!
I guess I don't understand THE POINT ya'll are trying to make; especially 'God being subject to his own law'- so what if he is or isn't? The way I have learned it, is that God can do whatever he wants (in terms of making the laws to begin with)- he is GOD! _All he really wants more than ANYTHING is for us to make a decision and stick to it; we are either living FOR HIM, or we are not. Nothing else really matters after that. He wants us to love him and hold him above EVERYTHING else, and love eachother as well. As far as him doing things (or not) the way he does, well hey, there ARE certain aspects in this life that we are simply NOT MEANT to know or understand- and I think that is where the trust factor comes in. People spend to much time questioning him and less time LIVING FOR him. Oh my, now I am starting to sound like you guys!

For the record, I am also against this but not for the same reason. I'm quite sure that if they (kids) are normal, they will be just as sickened by it as I am.

Lead... follow... or get out of the way! Seriously, again I don't understand your question, but if you'd like to "state" a topic, and lead... I'll be glad to follow. Or you can revisit the thread topic. I just meant that Slim and I had come full circle on it.

When I was a kid, I was going to be a successful international businessman. Failing that, I STARTED trying to change the world when I passed 40. I was doing real good, too, until Dubya stole the election in 2000!
