I'll have to see if we can meet somewhere if he runs up the 15 when he leaves the base. Is he at Mira Mar or Pendleton Marine Base? Mira Mar is where my cousin is stationed/works. Thats where they filmed alot of the Top Gun movie. The base use to be a Navy base back then and home to Top Gun Training.
I don't know about Davis yet..... i'm still trying to figure it out.

If he runs 15 north he'll get through northern San Diego and come to the Checkpoint/scale. Sometimes they have the Border Patrol stopping the cars and all trucks enter the scale like normal.
I'm trying to think of a spot where he could stop other then the scale but I can't think of one.

I am not sure where you are located but I believe he is in Ontario California now at the truck stop.

:shock: I did not even know that there were two different bases there for the Marines. I will have to ask when I talk to him tomorrow. I just hope he gets a load out tomorrow and one that heads up this way.

Let us know what you decide with Davis. Whatever anyone decides we wish them the best.

He said it took them quite a while to unload him down there. He almost got a load but it was canceled. He is number one on the list so hopefully he will get headed out tomorrow.

He spoke to his DM in the office today and let him know our decision not to go to the L/O plan. They are going to give him a letter of recommendation and told him if he needs help finding work they would help re-locate him.

I guess Davis will be selling the property they own in Iowa and giving up the lease on the California property and the dispatchers will work from home in those places. I hope they can pull out of this and get turned around.

As of January 1st he'll need a passport unless they change it soon, but doesn't look like it.

From what I can tell from the government web-site it looks like it will be in the summer of 2008 when he will need a passport. I am not sure about it and he will have to ask when he goes up to the border.

My husband got loaded up yesterday. He said he had four different places in the yard to go for the lumber. He said that it took him allot longer than it should have to get loaded. But I guess in trucking there will always be days and places like that no matter where you work.

This load will not bring him through home :cry: He will be going to Minneapolis Minnesota. This trip is approximately 2100 miles and he will drop Monday morning. Hopefully from there they will get him routed by home as we are on hold with the company he is looking into until we find out if he is eligible to go into Canada. He would only be going about 20 miles into the border.

We will have to find out if Davis Transport has his long form for his DOT physical as I can not find it anywhere.

The snow up here is all gone for now! We had allot of rain on Monday and a big melt down. The kids stayed home as with our drive way it is the worst when things turn to slush.

At least with this melt down it did not immediately freeze up and turn everything into a sheet of ice.

We will be expecting more snow up here possibly this weekend.

I agree I guess you got your answer regarding Davis! I will be glad when we will know in what direction and where we will be, it is all going to happen in such a short time from now. Weeks just fly by anymore!
