I forgot to add that my husband received a new trailer. He is now pulling a 48 skateboard The suspension is better on this one. Hopefully this winter the brakes won't freeze on him.

DD Side note while I am looking at all those cars I promise not to burn your cookies! :P

Actually the year of the trailer has less to do with the brakes freezing than how the driver maintains them.

I know this year when he is off in the winter he will watch for that and go down and move the trailer so they do not set themselves in lock and freeze up. Last year my husband was not made aware to watch for that. It is called the school of hard knocks! Learning what not to do after it happens!

What does a driver have to do to get a batch of your cookies? I am going to be in CDA for school from September 11th to 21th. Hope to meet your family when I am in town.

The definition of "experience" is: Something you get right after you need it the most! I hope he can figure out a way where he doesn't have to babysit the truck/trailer when he is TAH.

We will have to arrange to meet. Will you be staying up on the weekends?
We will be looking forward to meeting you also!

I really hope everything gets straightened out for you! I hope that they give you a different truck. I would ask and see what they can do the worst they can do is say no.

Yesterday bright and early my husband arrived in Fort Madison to make his drop. He was there approximately a half hour before they opened. Low and behold three other Davis drivers show up before they even open, and my husband knew of one other driver that was suppose to show up.

The guard had them go an get unloaded in the order they arrived. Needless to stay my husband hustled and called in for his load as soon as he was unloaded and drove past the guard shack.

He is picking up a load today in Chicago headed for Fontanta California.

I don't know have fast the other drivers will be getting out. Davis has an office somewhere back near that area all this week they are having driver appreciation week and cooking food for the drivers. Needless to say where my husband went for lunch. Free good food no way can he pass that one up.

Yooper DD and I met at the truck stop of Sherman. The one you mention that is not really quite a truck stop.

DD it was great meeting you!

Today I am off to Chicago myself and hoping to meet up with my husband while I am in the area. I am waiting and typing fast as a shuttle should be here any minute to pick me up.

I found a great car and a great deal at Continental Honda in Chicago. I have not seen the actual car but I will today. I will be driving it back here.

Our son will have a nicer ride than us! Oh well he is a good kid and I am glad my mom wanted to get him one!

I will update when I get back!
