I see change alright. I see a wasteful government healthcare idea that would drive the country to bankruptcy.
Because that isn't already happening? You right-wing nut riders kill me. Millions of people are losing their homes to pay ridiculous interest rates to pay for an even more ridiculous and pointless war.

We're clearly in the black now and that dang old negro Obama is just gonna ruin it all

And it really shows people's intellect when most of the time all they can do his pick on his name. "I ain't even never gonna vote for nobody named Hussien!" Because it was his choice to name himself right? What if his name was Muhammed Hussien? Muhammed is the most used name in the world.

What do interest rates on mortgages have to do with the war? I have not heard anyone say that they won't vote for Obama because his middle name is Hussein. Most conservative radio hosts won't use his middle name because if they do they are immediately accused of hatred.

People won't vote for him because of his radical political views. Not his color, middle name, etc. So far, you have not brought up one good point as to why one SHOULD vote for him.

This is the second time you have brought up his color. Is that the reason you are voting for him?

Knock Knock!!

Clue delivery, open up

The interest rates paid on home loans go to banks and private lending institutions. Last I checked, the war is being paid by the government.

Oh, and by the way, there aren't millions of people losing homes either. Yes, some have, but nowhere near 'millions' or even 'a million' for that matter.

Your understanding of the true nature of the problem is on the level of a single celled organism. People aren't losing their houses due to evil banks, most people are losing them due to the fact they either can't manage their funds or they bought more home than they could afford. But that speaks to the issue of personal responsibilty and that's a topic that scares the crap out of your typical liberal.

We need to look at real issues rather than skin color or gender. We seem to vote more on personalities than real issues. I haven't heard real issues addressed by candidates in some time. We have some serious problems in this country. I want to see how the candidates will address them and also how they plan on paying for them. I heard Obama talk about a number of programs. We already have record debt and he wants to spend more of our hard earned money. In the real world, when we don't have money to pay our bills we get an extra job or cut down on other things. In government we just print more money. We need to start addressing the size of government. We cannot support the current size of our government. We are already working 1/2 of our work day to pay for it. The time is coming when we will be forced to address the problem of too much government. It has become more oppressive to keep growing and to protect itself. If we reelect another democratic congress and president we are heading toward a country those in my generation and before will likely not recognize in a few years. We have a constitution in this country. I would like to see those we elect learn to read it. If the government limited itself to what was laid out in our original constitution we would not have the deficit we have today. We would have a balanced budget, holding political office would not be a career and people would be responsible for themselves and their families. We would not elect lawyers but average citizens to hold office. They would come and serve for a term or two and go home. The people we elect come to Washington DC and stay. They vote themselves raises, set up a retirement income from the day they leave office and pick our pockets while they are in office. At the very least we need to vote. We need to get involved in political campaigns. We need to get to know those who run for office. We need to hold them accountable once they get elected. It comes down to "WE THE PEOPLE" taking responsibility for ourselves, our families and our country.

:withstupid:

I'm not going to participate in a political discussion. No one is right, and no one is wrong. It's all personal opinion and beliefs. I'm not for or against either of the candidates just yet. Which ever one of them wins can no way in hell be any worse than what we have now. The main thing I like about Obama is that he "says" we we get out of Iraq. I've had too many friends come back screwed up beyond belief at what they've seen and had to do over there. I'd pay more taxes in a heartbeat to know that not one more soldier would be killed there. /my participation in this thread.

Have a safe holiday
