I hope that you are counting yourself in that group? What could possibly make you think that anything short of a good asswhooping will make the Iranians behave? Its the appeasers in the world that have gotten us into this mess in the first place.
If i was home every day to read the news, then Id be better off than now that I get home every other day and read the news. Now If i was OTR and had nothing but some right wing talk show host to listen to, then im sure id be like the majority here: Bomb the bastards, never mind the fallout that circles the world, nevermind the international repercussions, never mind the millions of dead because of a couple of prisioners. Nevermind the worldwide cancer epidemic that ensues.

It seems we dont learn from history! All you have to do is read several news sites a day and if you still thing war is good, then read Sun Tsu-'The art of War' and read something about the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about. If you still have an itch I can recommend a lot of reading, but hey-who's got time?

Theres a lot of news on XM: from Cspan to Cnn to BBC, PRI, ABC, WLW etc.etc and if you really cant help it: Fox.
A driver could easily inform himself by listening to several of those regularly but be sure to get diversity so you get the big picture.

Get off your holier than thou attitude, you are no better than anyone else just because you are home every other night. I have been buying newspapers in truck stops for years, its nothing new, just maybe to you!!!!! It’s all still brought to us by man himself, which is the interpretation of the one reporting or writing it!!! Believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see, and then you may know the truth!!!
You’re not that special, nor any better than anyone on this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You’re not ready to run with the big dogs YET......lol....

This, of course, would only require conventional weapons.... not nukes!

There are other suggestions of completely shutting down their business links outside their country. This would have devastating affects on them.

I absolutely agree that it is time to get TOUGH! But, I CANNOT sanction turning innocent (democracy loving) youth into GLASS!!
Well lets face it those kids would probbably grow up and be terriost anyway.

I don't remember the exact quote but Regan said that when we quit helping the one guy over there that it was a sin and we would not forget it.

See.... this is what I mean about Americans not understanding World politics. Iran is one of the FEW countries in the area where the YOUTH movement is PRO-Democracy and PRO-American. They remember how much better their parent's lives were under the Shah. They are tired of wearing Burkhas. They love Rock N Roll, and want FREEDOM. THESE are the kinds of YOUTH and future leaders that we should want to HELP, and encourage.

THEY are perhaps our ONLY chance of turning things around in the Muslim world...... and YOU (and others) want to INCINERATE them??

I guess you're just to smart for everyone on this forum. Get over yourself and your self righteous attitude.
BTW how did diplomacy work out in 1979 ? Since this country has a history of this kind of behavior, action is indeed needed and not diplomacy.

They didn't get home because of Jimmy Carter that's for sure, I believe the threat of force got them home.

That's almost funny! You Neo-Conservatives are so blinded by hate and testosterone, that you can't even get your arguments straight!

Let's see.... Carter, who you all hate, tried FORCE. Reagan used diplomacy and back door dealings. Yet you decry Carter simply because he was a Democrat, and praise Reagan because he was a Republican. Yet it was REAGAN who used diplomacy and back door negotiations who got them home. And you give NO credit to Carter, who wanted to use force!

You guys make NO SENSE!!! You're so blinded by party politics, you can't even see, and don't CARE, about the actual FACTS!!

And THAT, folks.... is how Dubya got elected the second time!!! (He STOLE the first one!)

Check Please!!

I would like to make a comment on that.

The only reason Bush got elected the second time is because he was better for the country at that time than John Carry not because he is who we wanted.
