This is nothing new and it's really more proof that the whole thing is about the politicians wanting to give goodies in the way of cash money to their constituents and the constituents usually are pretty good at looking the other way. I guess I should have read this post backwards. this is another tin foil wearer who's got too much time to listen to AM radio. Cowards indeed. You point out what YOUR big plan is. and just how you would take the steps to do both (clean out and secure America) without initiating even more draconian measures than the acts that you mention. Also these acts are still tepid when compared to the FDR days. Be careful for what you wish for... :roll:

Malicious prosecution of Border Agents that attempt to enforce our laws

Unlimited numbers of Mexican trucks on our highways

A good American citizen would never support any of these. At least we now know where we all stand.

The case was decided by a court and a jury and thats the way the cookie crumbles. I do not like the fact that these guys got hung out to dry, but I wasn't on the case and I wasn't on the jury. I don't agree with the jackpot justice system we have here in this country anyway.

I'm not too worried about them being any more or less safe than a huge number of trucks already here being operated by good ol "mercans". Thank you Fozzy and PackRat for showing all of us your true character. I don't derive any pleasure from stepping down into the bilge to have to defend decent and respectable behavior that has always been expected from being a good citizen and neighbor in this country, but I felt that it is necessary to reveal truth. The truth has been exposed.

I won't be commenting anymore on this thread. Decent folks know what the score is and we will be moving on.

TF, not too very long ago, I would have agreed with you. The many events that have transpired since 9-11, combined with legislative actions and Bush 43's numerous Executive Orders, and the actions that our government has taken since then have forced me to come to terms with certain realities that, just a few years ago, I would have viewed as fodder for the conspiracy theorist.
