As the Wheels turn with Goin Fer It and Family!

My husband was moving quite a bit yesterday! He dropped in Portland and then his first pick up was in Vancouver, Wa he dropped and did another pick up in I believe it was Chehalis.
Then up to Kent Washington. Next he will be going to Spokane, Washington and his final drop will be in Post Falls. This trip he drove for about 90 miles with the OD signs out. His total miles for the trip will be 475. He had three pick ups and four drops. He was going to attempt to get over Snowqualmi Pass last night but did not make it. He said he chained up and went over around 4:00 this morning. He said that at one point they had the Eastbound completely closed due to car accidents and that all vehicles were requiring chains. He said it was slow going with the chains on because he could only do around 25mph. He still hates to chain but realizes that sometimes he will have to with the short runs. I did not even know he chained until after the fact so it was HIS decision as it always is. Not even a suggestion from me this time! Goin Fer It's Wife

My husband had a interesting and busy day yesterday.
As I stated he chained up in the morning and it was slow going through the pass. Then he arrived at his drop in Spokane to find out that the load was on two different places on his trailer. The receiver in Spokane did not want to touch the product or move it over for the receiver in Post Falls because of liability reasons. So my husband dropped a portion of the load in Spokane then went to Post Falls to drop that load. On the way back to Spokane he was pulled over at the scale heading into Washington  He had a level three inspection and everything was up to date in his logs he said he passed it with flying colors. Then he went back to his drop in Spokane to finish the drop. He picked up some railroad ties just down the road. He spent the night at the yard in Spokane at System Transport. This morning he will be dropping in Umatilla Oregon. This will be around 170 miles plus the 20 miles to Spokane. This Friday we will get our first check from System Transport It has been a long time since our last check from Davis and we are welcoming it.My temp agency is super slow right now and I am thinking about going to a few others to find some work to help things along! My husband will be coming home today
After he dropped his load in Spokane he received an OD load going to Tacoma. He said he things he is moving some type of bridge support or something. It is two big concrete things. System Transport does not use trip pak so last week when he was kept out instead of going into the yard Friday he had to mail in his time and miles. This morning when I checked the bank account we only had the money in the account for the first couple days he worked there. He is going to call the office this morning and see if they can do something as we NEED the money from last week also. It has been almost a month since his last check at Davis Transport and there is no way we can go another two weeks without a check and only have the $323.00 that was deposited in our account to live on. I know System Transport is not Davis but I hope they will work something out and help us get this straightened out. I have to get ready for work I have another short assignment for a week or two. things will work out they always do....I hope. tootie I will get a check next week for a couple days work. I will probably borrow some money from my mom to cover us. I was a very very BAAD BAAD girl today too! I spent about $160.00 that we really don't have right now but it was for a once and a life time deal. This one I could not pass up! But once we get through this I will still have the things I spent this money on. So they asked us if we wanted to work tomorrow and I will be going in on my birthday for being a BAAD Girl! Goin Fer It's Wife |
