Default TMC Wimmins

I will say that all the women in Iowa, not just those at TMC, are dang pretty as a whole.
Must be the corn fed beef.
Nice job Fred, glad you are doing well.

I'd like to start with TMC, but the 750 mile drive would be a pita. I'm goning to make some calls Monday morning to check into companies with local teminals. TMC ain't the only game out there, but they were my first choice.

hey blind driver, tmc was also my first choice but i ended up with CON-WAY, pretty good local company that gets you home every night if that's what your looking for, if you want OTR i would definitely go with TMC 8) 8) , we just hired a driver from them and he had nothing bad to say about them, he'd probably still be there but he wanted to be home more than weekends.

Well I talked with alot of folks this week and made the decision to give the dedicated a try. I met with everyone down in Silver Grove yesterday and they all seem like a great group. There is tons of freight daily that runs right by my house. They are also very close to signing 2 other dedicated accounts in Ohio, I am basically in the middle of all 3. Not sure how it will all work out but hopeing for the best. Most of the guys I talked with in that area are very happy and turn over is almost none.

Also for the long haul, line haul they are in the process of installing software to be able to preassign loads. This should solve alot of the driver time issues. Its not the cure all but its darn sure a step in the right direction. As I understand it it takes your check call and looks at the time you will be empty and what freight is in that area you are delivering then assigns you the best match load.

I am glad to see that they are listening to the drivers concerns and working towards solutions.

The sole reason for staying with TMC are people like Matt JFloyd Tammy Abraham and Clint. The people I have been directly invovled with have always been first class, and any driver I have met on the road I would say the same for. I am really praying that this fits me well, I would really like to have a very long carreer with TMC.

Yep, I had a serious talk with a higher up last week. We discussed the problems that they are having. They did discuss how to rectify the load/log problems. It looks like it may rectify our concerns.
Still not sure whether I will do line or change to long haul. In my situation, getting home every other week may not be such a problem. Visions of loading/unloading every second or third day is like sugar plums dancing in my head at Christmas. Like a smart man said though; "Be careful what you wish for." Oddly enough, I had a decent solid week with no BS from shippers or consignees, imagine that!
Dedicated sounds good tcurr. I still don't get why they had problems getting you home in Ohio. Hope that you like it.
Peace

What is the dedicated run for the South East, does anyone know? Right now I'm looking at line haul, and that is pretty much what I want, I'm just curious as to what the S.E. dedicated is all about.

well im glad that everything is starting to come together again. if only i could get some other folks to understand that my hood is NOT a driveway. this has been a rough week  . ks claimed i was overweight  , some high quality arrow driver run over my hood while i was parked legaly in a rest area getting a break  , matt in road repair got an attitude with me and so i will have to have a chat with him and his boss in person when i get to des moines next week  , and i have to get another truck. freight has been pretty good but because of the incident i am 1 load short this week.

von seggern i wouldn't change to long haul because u gotta stay out every other weekend at least do what i just did

i'm line haul and i told them i wanted to stay this weekend and wanted through vegas for the weekend

so me and my wife went to vegas i got there saturday about 7pm i did my 34 hour reset there and then delivered my load to L.A. for monday then picked up an oversize load going back to a coal mine in west virginia
for yesterday got home about 6pm last night had an excellent trip

just remember when u go out west make sure u know where the good freight comes out of cause if not it could turn bad as far as load choice and the direction u go in

by the way can anyone on here tell me how our safety process works because evidently i've been here over a year and a half and i've been told that i dont know how the safety process works

if any knowledge let me know thanks
