Hey Robert, the stay in Des Moines was nice, but it is good to be home for a few days, I will be leaving out with a trainer out of Lancaster S.C. this weekend for two weeks then I will be heading back to Iowa to get my own ride, I will keep you posted as to how things are going, so far I'm loving life, T.M.C. is a great company, I believe I'm really going to enjoy it..

Be safe out there and I'll talk to you later!

Default NC Trucker...Cool down dude!

NC Trucker: You have to relax a bit. I do have to say for a trainee, you sound like a regular old billy big rigger with the "shut up stupid" routine. And before you go blowing off how great it is at TMC, don't you think you should wait till your out of training and on your own so you can make a better assumption of how it "really" is?

And as far as Matt is concerned, I will say he is a good person, and honest.

Just like what happened with Tcurr a few months ago, I have stated actual facts that have happened to me while I was at TMC. You, just like him are arguing with me on this. So now I will just set back and wait for you to make your own evaluation and tell me how great it is 6 months from now.

And the answers to some of your other questions....
1. No, I don't have my own trucking company.
2. No, I don't own any trucks
3. No, I haven't found the "perfect driving job".
4. Yes, the job I have now is better than TMC.
5. Yes, having TMC on my resume did help me get the job I have now.

Other things to add......

TMC absolutely has one of the best securement training programs in the industry. I am not here to bust TMC in the chops. I am only providing information about what I have personally experienced while I was employed by TMC. Everything I have written is truth. If you don't agree with it, so be it. If you think it's not gonna happen to you...time will tell. Do yourself a favor, go back and look at Tcurr's posts about TMC when he was in training; then after he got into his own truck; and now that reality has set in. I am not trying to persuade you one way or the other. But before you become a cheerleader for the team, you should at least be on the playing field

Well Dollarshort maybe I was being a little too feisty with you on the reply to your post concerning the problems you found with T.M.C.

But as a "Trainee" as you so called me, I may be going out with a T.M.C. trainer for two weeks to learn the T.M.C. way of doing things but as far as being new to trucking goes, I'm far from that, I've been around for a long time and have worked for a couple of other carriers, and if there is one thing I have learned from my years around the trucking business, it is this, there are about as many perfect trucking companies around today as there are perfect truck drivers, in other words, there aren't any, there never has been any, and I can just about bet you good money that there never will be any..

I will tell anyone that thinks they will go to work for T.M.C. or any other company that if they think it's all going to be sunshine and roses all the time, they may as well forget about it now, so as they won't be disappointed later, clearly T.M.C. didn't work for you, does that mean I won't like it after six months or a year down the road? No it doesn't, when I was in Iowa last week I met one driver that has been pulling for T.M.C. for 11 years, I met another driver that has been there for 16 years, I don't know what exactly that means to you, but to me, that sounds like a couple of drivers that like the system there and clearly they are happy, as I believe I will be, it didn't work for you, and without a doubt that is your problem alone, but just because Harrold Annett wouldn't do things your way, don't come here and say he doesn't know how to run the company, that's just wrong..

Default The perfect company?

NC Trucker:

You said you met a couple drivers that have been with TMC for many years. Because of this you say they must be doing something right?

Just because someone has been with a company 16 years doesn't mean they are happy being there. Maybe they are to the point that they have been there so long that they don't want to start over with another company. Or maybe they just like to bit*h. Or maybe they are just stupid enough to take money out of their own pocket to put fuel in a company owned vehicle to maybe someday be "on the wall" as a wheel master. Who knows the real reason for someone staying at a company for that long. No matter how bad the company is, you will always find someone that has been there a long time.

I am sure that there are drivers that have been with Prime, or CR England for many years. Does it make them a great company? But go to any archive here about those two companies and you will have a hard time finding anything positive posted about them.

So anyway, I do wish you the best of luck with your training. Please keep us all posted on your progress. I truly hope TMC is the right fit for you.

Dollarshort, I believe you might grow up someday, but there again maybe not, I do wish you the very best of luck at finding a trucking company that makes everyone happy all the time, as I noted before, when or if you do ever find that company, please let me know.

As far as what you posted about "Prime" and "CR England" neither one of those Commercial Carriers have much of anything in common with T.M.C. Transportation, did you know that T.M.C. has the lowest driver turn over rate in the business?

I don't know what your problem is with T.M.C. but clearly it must be be something very deep and personal, you should seek professional help for your problem if you just can't let it go.

NC Trucker- We have the lowest turnover rate to other companies that hire students. I'm sure there are companies that only hire experienced guys with lower turnover. Any company that hires students is going to have a very high t/o rate because it's a new profession for everyone. So if people compare TMC to other student companies, you're right, our t/o would be the lowest.

Thanks, that is what I should have said and meant to say, but I just missed the target a little where as you hit it dead center..

Still the bottom line is, out of the companies that hire students right out of truck driving schools, T.M.C. has the lowest turn over rate, and is the very best of all flatbed trucking companies in America right now, and has been for a very long time, and no one can argue that..

NC

Exactly, you nailed it. It is hard to argue for what TMC has to offer, etc.
