Actually, I PM'd recruiter jfloyd soins that he could see what is going on. Maybe someone "up the line" might check in too.Originally Posted by Jagerbomber

What we speak of here is representative of the concerns of many, if not all, of the TMC drivers that I talk to.
I am still keeping the faith though and hope for a better day.

i agree with tcurr and vonseggern and everyone else for that matter. TMC is still a great company there are some hurdles that they have to overcome and hopefully i will be around to see things get better. i dont plan to be going anyplace. i am a very loyal employee. hell i even braught my truck home over this weekend and put a coat of wax on it lol. not to mention i must be doing somthing right cause i went from 23%to 28%after my first snapshot!! 8)

my first snapshot comes up in about a week so I will see how I look after that. I schould be at 28 but I have also been working on my road scolar stuff too. From what I understand that is like another 2%

Hey guys:
Don't get so concerned about what you % is. You gotta figure you will automatically go to 27% on your first snapshot. All you have to do is show up for work. Other than that do go busting your a$$ trying to get another 1 or 2 %. Like I had told Tcurr months ago once your percentage starts to go up, they will start messing with you. He is finding that out now. So to me it is not worth that extra time end effort to have the potential to make an extra $7.50-$10.00 per week. In reality it will never happen. When I left TMC I was at 31% and was making less than I did at 27%, and I working just as hard to make less money. Yes, I did all the extra crap, i.e, tqm, extra classes, ran through corn fields to get my OOR as low as possible. I even did the old "I'll put $50 worth of my own money in the fuel tank trick to boost my fuel mileage. " This I learned from the guys you always see at the top of the list when the driver ratings come out. I know of at least two guys that have their names on the "wheel master" plaques that used to do these same things. Then I realized how stupid it was to lay out your own money just to get your name one the wall. So don't make so much of a big deal about what your percentage is. Realize even if you jump 1% it will barely be enough money to buy your breakfast at the choke and puke tomorrow morning. And that's if you don't leave the waitress a tip.

Deal with it or leave it to the morons who suck it up and take it. I couldn't be so stupid so I left it and went local. Not to say that I've forgotten some of the fun aspects of OTR trucking, but I'd rather be home each night and not have my life screwed around with by those d*mned pencil-necked jerks in Des Moines. Screw the whole d*mned lot of 'em!!!
hey all TMC'ers i was driving down I 71 sb in OH on fri 6/2 and passed about 7 tmc trucks going north .... i've been looking at tmc as a starting place and was wondering, do you guys run through OH a lot? atleast then i know i would have a good shot of getting home. (i live in canton/Akron area)

So I take it that you could run a trucking company better than Harrold Annett has, his company has been in business since 1972..
How long has your trucking company been in operation?
How many trucks do you currently have in operation?
How many employees do you have working for you right now?
I'm just curious, being that Harrold or Tim Annett doesn't know how to run a trucking company, and you do how has your business been going?
I've been looking for a perfect trucking company to work for and the way you talk I take it that you know where one is, a trucking company that has fleet mgrs and dispatchers that don't make mistakes once in a while, a company where no one is ever in a bad mood, or a poor frame of mind due to some azzhole truck driver wanna be, "Like yourself" pissin' and moaning in their ear over some stupid shit, when you could just be out burning up the highway moving that load to where it needs to be.
People like you just crack me up to no end, I work for T.M.C. now, and by what I've come to see, T.M.C. isn't a trucking company without any faults, but if you do happen to ever come accross one, please let us all know..
Until that day comes.... SHUT UP STUPID!
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
For those of you who are looking for a future in flatbed trucking, T.M.C. is one of the top of the line carriers in America, it isn't an easy job, but you must understand, nothing worth while has ever been easy, nor will it ever be, T.M.C. is a company that takes a certain degree of pride in it's history and it's equipment and their drivers, and from what I've seen, T.M.C. makes taking care of all of the above a top priority, a trucking company that doesn't take care of it's drivers just will not be around for very long at all, and if you look into it you will see T.M.C. has been around since 1972, and has one of the lowest turn over rates of any commercial carrier out there, what does that tell you?
Sure there will be some that will come and go from T.M.C.
Like any other company or any other trade, flatbed trucking just isn't for everyone, if you don't like or can't handle a little hard work you need not apply, but if you like to make good money and have some great benifits and have a nice truck to drive and you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty, look for the best.. Give them a call at http://www.tmctrans.com/

I'm still here for the ones that are wondering. I read the forums and thought maybe I should do some damage control but it's really not my place to do that since this is a drivers forum. Yes things could go a little smoother but that is part of the business. Like NC Trucker eluded to, there really is no perfect company out there. TMC has many great things going for it and that's why I enjoy working here. From a recruiter standpoint, it's nice to be where I'm at because I know there are plenty of bad companies out there that will flat out lie to you to get them come work for them.
As far as this whole DOT thing, yes it's never fun to go thru those but we also want to comply with the DOT and run legally. We are taking care of what we need to take care of and make things better.
TCURR- I'm sorry things happened the way they did, I wish you would have mentioned something to me because I would have talked to my Vice President about you. I know they are looking for a dedicated for you and I hope you can stay. If not, BOL, with your exp with TMC, I know you can get on almost anywhere.
From the meetings I have been in, things are going in the right direction and I know some people think we are growing too fast. Yes we have grown but I wouldn't say it's been too fast because we have put the right people in positions to make this happen. Look at it this way, if you're not growing, you're struggling. The market has been very good for us as far as freight, dedicateds, etc. so this would be a reason our growth rate has taken off. We have to keep up with the economy and what its provided for us.
Obviously I am not a driver and never claim to be, you guys are the ones that make all this stuff happen. Without drivers, America is in trouble, that's why this is a safe profession to get into if you get in with the right company. I will answer any questions people have about TMC and help anyone I can to get in. Dollarshort- I think you can vouch for me when I say I try to help people out and get the straight story?
Once some of the dust clears, I know TMC will still be moving in the right direction- FORWARD, like it has been
