Default OOPS!

I meant to post this in the TMC Forum and started a new one. So here it is now (I Hope) . I have been hauling steel for the past 17 months. Local I run about 500 miles a day. I have about 4 yrs OTR. Will I have to go out with a trainer to see TMC's way or can it all be done in Des Moines?

well it sounds like everyone had a pretty good week. i was broke down in baton rouge, la for a week. horrible pete dealer. stay away if you can avoid them. anyway, got stuck on some weyerhaeuser loads that pay poorly and finally got something to get me out of tx. the freight here sucks. i have had 600 miles of deadhead just this week. and maybe 1000 loaded. gonna take my oldest with me next week since he is on spring break, so i can put him to work and maybe get my chrome polished . i dont see him unless we stop. he goes into the sleeper and plays on the computer or watches movies all day. i got stopped at banning last summer and he called me from the cab of the truck to tell me that CA sucks and we need to get moving. needless to say, the CA DOT officers heard him and gave him a tour of the facility and handed me my paperwork back and left me standing there. he is good for something.

Well fellas this is my last full week... at least for three weeks since my military unit is going to the southwest border. I will get some pictures while I am there so that I can post them asap. Hopefully TMC is treating all of you with great respect. I just completed four weeks out with a trainee... thought I was going to pull my hair out. well I am all to my self again and I have to reconsider if I really want to train or not.

4 weeks? With an eval? They seem to be the biggest PIA's. Know everything.

With percentage pay from TMC, how do you know they're giving you the whole picture on what the load pays? And if its forced dispatch, aren't you handicapping yourself a little bit by going percentage? No pay for bounces, that's working for free, no?

Well after successfully completing a pretrip inspection, the required brake tests and severally driving maneuvers, I was told by the Mass Trooper that I had gone over the allotted time and would have to reschedule the road test, for an additional $75. I passed everything so all and all not a bad morning. I guess it will be another week or so before I get my CDL. But I am making progress.
