I got a 387, in pretty good shape, inside and out, it has 186000 miles on it, and runs smooth. shifts nicely and is rooooommmmiieee hehe... Compared to the 379, there's too much space now, so I don't even know what to do with it. My truck number is 81308, so if you see me down the road, and wanna talk, or have questions, just shoot... I'm always open to meet people from CAD

Training is Finally over, and now i'm all ready to go. One minor hickup is that they have to replace the windshield on my truck, it has a huge crack that worked itself halfway across the windshield. other than that everything seems fine and dandy.

I was the first one this morning to get my securement equipment, and basicly took all day to "pack the mule up", organazing, throwing out crap, cleaning the truck, etc. I got a pretty decent trailer too, and compared to what i heard as far as horrostories about Indy, it seems things have changed.

Now I only wish to change the weather, so I could get home for the weekend. Seems like i got myself a pretty cool Fleet manager too, we started off on the right foot so to speak, Luckily he was in DSM, so i could meet him face to face.

ok now, enough of me for today... Please pray, so this crappy weather goes away... I'd love to see my wife this weekend...

Cheers,

BND
Congrats BND!!! I know you are glad training is over. BOL and keep it between the lines.

Default Revised TMC Fuel Stops

Being stuck in snow for 2 days, I sadly had a chance to work on the TMC truck stops, with the 37 new stops that they just added.

I had trouble with 2 stops. The Love's in Clinton, OK didn't have a GPS searchable address; the GPS coordinate is in the center of Clinton, not at it's actual location. I also could not find any Country Express in Hudson or Depere Wisconsin. Waiting for info from the fuel department. If anyone ever gets to the Love's in Clinton, and has a way to get GPS coordinates, please PM or e-mail me.

If you would like a copy of this, PM me. Thanks.

hey when you guys are looking for truck parking, do you need a place to "plug-in" the trucks for winter conditions. they have a MCDonalds down the road from my house with truck parking, but they obviously don't have power poles, is this a problem when you try to start them in the cold? i am seriously looking into trying to get into TMC, so i thought i would scout places to park

Hey any TMC drivers from lower Michigan? How often do you run freight into Michigan? I seen a TMC truck in my little small town of Allendale! we are just outside of Grand Rapdis, so i wouldn't think of any places Allendale! But any info from TMC Michigan drivers would be great! I have seen posts from da yooper, but he is a little north in CANADA, hahhaha!

if you have a home depot or lowes in your town, talk to them. a lot of times they will let you leave your truck on the lot out of the way. even better if you are delivering to them.

hey thanks mudflap, but what about plugging in the truck to help with winter starting. I bet you guys don't have to worry too much in texas, or do you think that it should be fine in winter strarting. the place i use to work had day cab 379 pete from like 1995 and you had to crank hard on them!

If you can find a plug go for it. When I plug the truck in it is still hard to fire up. TMC asks that you run the truck on weekends if the temperature is below 15 degrees.

if you let your fm know that the temp is low and that you will have to idle, they will let the right people know. you will probably have to run some miles to work off the idle time otherwise
