Do any of you know if there are any trainers available in nc. I live about an hour norht of charlotte right off of I-85. been reading the post from the beginning and seen where some of you had to drive a long ways to meet up with your trainers. Gotta do what I gotta do but sure would be nice to have one close. Thanks for any replies and all the good info on here.

My Husband drives for tmc. He's long haul. And he normally comes home loaded and then delivers in the metro Detroit area after a week-end home. I have seen a few trucks in our area, (port Huron) And there is a driver in the St. Clair area too. There was a TMC driver parked a block from where I work this morning. I have also passed one on Lakeshore on my way to work, so that driver was headed into the thumb area someplace. But I don't see very many. The loads around here must be for line haul drivers.

Yet another question here from a guy considering TMC. Does TMC hire teams? My brother and I both are interested in teaming with TMC but keep in mind both of us would be newbies and that we don't haver our CDL's just yet so we'd need training. Thanks.

Supposedly, the long-haul division does teams. That's just according the TMC website. Wouldn't be much point in it in line-haul since most runs are less than 600 miles. Only 1000+ mile runs would benefit from teams. Honestly, no one makes a truck big enough for me to share with another man. No how, no way.

Thanks nrvsreck. I appreciate it. I have long term goals with this regard to getting into this industry but I obviously need to learn it first. I'm SOOOOO torn between TMC and Maverick. Since I'll be living in North Alabama soon, it looks like I'm eligible to be home weekends. That is a MAJOR concern. Decisions decisions!! I'm so torn!! ha
Thanks again.
