No real point here, just find it a little amusing
That "other site" has very little good to say about ANY company and is FULL of "Van ONLY Drivers" who (in general) don't like flat-bedders.

I agree with you Frogman. I do not claim that some drivers may have had a horrible experience at TMC, but they just as easily would have had a horrible experience at Swift, Roehl, CFI, USA, Schneider, etc. There are very many drivers on this thread who have had a good experience at TMC, and that encouraged me. I have found that TMC is a great place to work and I enjoy every minute of it. (except for rolling tarps in the snow)
I also agree and I too STILL love my job and firmly believe one can do MUCH worse than working for TMC.

TMC is great for a starter company. I can't imagine doing anything other than flatbedding. I work for a great company now. Not too small, but not as monstrous as TMC, and I wouldn't want to do anything else. But, yeah, you can do a whole hell of alot worse than TMC. I just wish TMC was the smaller, more personal company it used to be. And didn't govern their trucks at 65/70.

Default Loads

Decided that going to DM was the better choice, thanks all for the info. Hope to be there as soon as NC's required obs. and btw at TDS are fulfilled. About 2 to three weeks (sheesh)!

Since this is the "official" TMC off site website  I was wondering if there were any TMC trainers in the area of Greensboro NC. area. Also, what kind of loads/routes would I encounter if I drive in the SE region, or if I'll even be kept in the south at all, once I go solo. Lanes would be I-40/I-85/I-77 and, I-95 is not to far.

Thanks in advance, also as orientation gets closer, I'll be picking your brains for more insider info, again thx.

hey guys... long time no post. I'm with my trainer now, and we're stuck in Encino, CA b/c of a fricking forklift driver, who can't operate the forklift. We're unloading for 3.5 hours, and counting.

So far it's been great so far. We've been driving a crapload of miles in the deserts od TX, NM, AZ, and CA. We drove by Holywood, i managed to take a pic of the holywood sign on the mountain. Weather is great here, but traffic is about 3 times as bad as in NYC. You probably can tell, this is my first time out in the west.

Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know, that Von is a great trainer, and whoever lives up in the NH or the general New England area, if you can, get him as a trainer.

So far we had one good paying load, one bad one, and a really good one, over the weekend. We're hoping to get home for the next 2-3 weekends.

I'll post pictures of my "adventures" and day-to-day stuff when I get better internet access...

Don't underestimate the ppl in CA, they know how to secure their Wifi...
