Have you had time to enjoy any more crabs tootie? Another month or so and there done. I might try to get some next weekend. Oysters are coming in though.

Steve, may I offer a tire chain suggestion-

This link shows how to tighten the cam locks:

http://www.tirechain.com/tire_chainm...structions.htm

There is additional info on how to remove extra links yourself.

You might want to recheck how much slack you have after all the cams are locked properly.

Thanks Bud, that was the exact web page I found this morning. One picture was worth 1,000 words. I got them on no problem then spent an hour with a hacksaw cutting off all the extra links.

I would suggest everyone do the same thing instead of being surprised. It's a nice feeling to know they fit and are custom to my truck.

My tires are low profile so I'm sure everyone will have to deal with all the extra links. I could have just used bungee cords but that would have been a royal pain trying to get the bungee on the inside of the tandems and the outside of the inside tires!!!

Ya, I know. I'm itching to get back out there. Hopfully I'll be on coast for a while now and no major things to deal with.

No thanks, when chains are required I feel that is the perfect oppurtunity for me to catch up on my sleep, plus I don't run out west.
