guess what I am getting at is that you don't have to make sure that LS breaks that FSC out like you would if dealing with a broker from a public load board

Then, when you are paid on the load, you get the remaining balance. For example, on that particular load pulling your own trailer, you would have gotten $1168 plus $400 FSC. Since you already took $880 of that in an advance, you would get the remaining $688 on your settlement.

I can assure you that Lonestar will keep you under damn good freight most of the time. Landstar seems to be based more on ur ability to plan your own freight lanes and how well you figure out their system. There is a guy from down ur way who used to run out of Lonestar's Memphis terminal with my uncle. He liked to run out of Memphis cause he could get in on all the FedEx engine loads. He would never have trouble getting back home to TX cause he could run system freight back home. In know way am I trying to tell you what to do, but I really hope you give Lonestar a good look. I feel you can't go wrong with a company that has such a freight base as they do and the fact that they do have lots of TX connections to get you in or out. I know my uncle really loved pulling for them and never had any trouble making damn good money! Keep us updated, and let us know when u pull the trigger!

I did receive the stamped schedule 1 fax from the IRS first thing this morning. I in turn called Lone Star and faxed it to them just to be on the safe side and ensure all is good to go. I am now waiting for them to call me back to let me know if I have the green light. I'll update more later. Thanks again. |
