I was there when they were done and it was the only thing going. The truck wasn't loaded to the top and plenty more room. He was heading straight to Florida. The Caddy was the last thing in and unless they were going to repack the truck they couldn't put any more in. Just the driver going. I guess they get other help down there?

Yes, they get help where they are going.

Steve-take that figure Bandit gave you and cut it in 1/2 for a end of the year 1099 range. You have to factor in busier parts of the year than others, and the fact that you are not going to work 50 weeks in a year. Alot of shipments tie up more than one week worth of time as well.

AVERAGE 1099 range is going to be from $150-$250k a year.

Rates, and average per mile, for "all miles", is 2 different questions.
My rates are still the same as last year, only FSC fluctuates.
I'm leased on %, pulling company dry box, east of MS-river, mostly OH to NJ, NY.
Don't have a # for this year yet, but last year, it was $1.92 per loaded mile(my cut), and that's including FSC, and all extras(stops, detentions...etc).

How about your expenses this year (other than fuel)?

Unless your expenses stayed the same, (and I'm sure they haven't) you effectively have received a pay cut.

Very few seem to understand this principle.

And I'm one of them, believe me!
I do agree, with what you are saying, however, considering, that rates somewhat "melted" in a past few month, "staying the same" is not such a bad deal for now.

I also, got more "picky" of what i take, and if i survive that glut of trucks, and economy weakness, it could get better with times. As of right now, considering my investments, and profit, i didn't see nothing, that will suit me better! 8)

Don't take this the wrong way but I wasn't saying wow before. I think maybe those figures are misleading a lot of people and I tend to believe Rev's figures he posted before and his bottom line was more in line. I think he was at like $50k when all was said and done.

The way it was posted your bringing home more than $250,000 and I find that WAY hard to believe just based on 2 movers I have had first hand experience with so far this year alone.

Very true. There's also variables, such as unlike him I do't have a truck payment, so my net is slightly higher. He's running right now and making money.....and, i'm not lol

Is the 1099 number before or after expenses?

If it's gross, there's no point of even talking about it.

But I gotta admit, you bedbuggers have me interested in that field.
