Ok, maybe sitting by a stream is nice in the afternoon but kind of a different story in the morning. It's cold and the whole truck is damp inside. I just turned the heat on with the A/C to hopefully dry out the inside. When I woke up I can hear wolves howling???? Not sure, I'm in New Mexico, what else would be howling like that?
It seems like the more remote places have better internet connection speeds. It must be there lifeline to the world. I have one channel on the TV that comes in perfect. It's the FOX channel so I was able to watch the football game yesterday. The only problem is that the voices don't match the mouth!! I'm just an hour away from the drop off point and not sure where I'll be heading today. I would like to head up to either Washington or Oregon. I haven't been to either one of those states. My truck was spotless before I loaded up but the power plant took care of that with the muddy roads and water everywhere. The Rigmaster has been working great and such a convenience waking up in the morning and just reaching over and pushing a button. I am going to have the muffler output routed to the back of the truck. Every so often the air current is just right and I can smell the fumes. I have a CO detector in the truck and it's never gone off. I've already seen and talked to many other truckers with different APU's who have done the same thing. That's another topic. How come it's not mandatory for trucks to not have fire and CO detectors? It's such a cheap device that can save your life. CO is a silent death with no warning when your sleeping. Mine went off last winter when I over taxed the power in my truck and the alternator started to burn up. My battery was close to being too dead to start the truck. I started the truck to charge the batteries and also continued to use a whole bunch of electrical stuff in the truck. The alternator was not able to keep up with charging the batteries and supplying juice to the inverter and all the stuff running off it. I was just starting to doze off when the alarm went off. Who knows how far it would have gone had the alarm not gone off. Remember the old pressure treated wood and how it smelled? That's what an alternator smells like when it's burning up. Sort of a sweet wood smell. I've lost all conception of time being out this trip. I just had to look at my logbook to see when I left home. I think I've finally hit coast for a while without any more problems causing me to go home for either my mother or the other million things that have come up in the past. I hear some place just got a foot and a half of snow??? Don't remember where, I think Nevada?

As an Cityman I can see more backing into tight spots in a day than many on here will get in a week. We are all about going places with pups that were not designed for trucks. I have days when I'm the zen-master of reverse hitting tight blindsides with no pull up. Then I have days when I would make a Swift Trainee look sharp. One thing I still can't understand. I've seen some companies advertise that a city driver can't get a job OTR without OTR experience??? WTF, it should be the other way around!!!

My guess would be coyotes howling, rather than wolves. As much as you have been out west in the past year, I figured you would have heard that before.
