sounds like areyouvi3t was originally implying he is hauling illegal drugs stashed in those mushrooms or something illegal and that's how he makes so much money. That's what I got from it anyways. But anyways who really cares.

Seriously, why would mushroom hauling pay so well? I drove for Frito-Lay and they are a private carrier who makes their money selling snack foods not hauling freight so they paid really well. Frito-Lay was all hand unloading using a hand truck and the most any driver made was around 80k a year and that guy worked local in Salt Lake City and unloaded 3 trailers a day usually, each trailer paying around $100 each to hand unload it with a hand truck. unless they needed a driver at the last moment and i'm free. but this is the last post i'm making about this subject, gotta get ready to head out and hit the road, if any of you see a mushroom truck on the turnpike, and i-70 heading west all the way to kansas city, then down to springfield, mo, the next few days, most likely it'll be me, hollar on the CB and i'll get at ya.

My edit is stop PM me if you cant say to the board keep it to yourself. Edited by TF. Bounced by TF. Crap like this is absolutely uncalled for. If you're really 29, you should start acting your age. Elsewhere.

When you guys give the figures you've given it would be helpful to tell us what part of the country you're in. Usually larger cities will have better pay. However, I live in the Rocky Mountains and understand that the oil field guys do very well. My point of reference is the fact that I'm an OTR. I have a friend who drives for Star in Florida who makes very good money on an hourly basis. I venture to say more than I make.
If you live in Podunkville, Arkansas and you're making $8 an hour it would be helpful to know what part of the woods you live in so that newbies will have realistic expectations for their part of the woods. Especially, the guy who made $60K his first year, I doubt that he lives in Podunkville, Arkansas. Nor, do I hope he lives in L.A. where $60K probably would not cut it with that cost of living. Just a suggestion for future reference-guys and gals. :) Sizzle |
