Long story about how today went getting into the freakin' truck will post tomorrow if I remember. First load picks up in the AM. Going to Omaha.

 

i'm at the t/a in mill city, nevada. going to be at the flying j in ripon, california tomorrow, and then the POS truck stop at herndon & 99 in fresno, california on monday after making the third of three deliveries.

at least when i get to fresno, my dad can swing by to deliver my freestyle bicycle. oh, the industrial complexes are going to love me since it's that time of the year again that i go riding around looking for some sweet handrails, natural ramps, and staircases to trick off of. 8)

 

hmmm, sounds like a long story-- lets see if I can connect the dots..

you were in Lincoln for Orientation- but they had no truck to give you-there?
so you had to ride with another driver to----- Ottawa? to pick up an "abandoned truck"/ no not abandoned- according to Fleet manager- a driver can "turn it in" at any Terminal.

Was it Clean? How many miles on it?

 

wouldn't it be nice if qual-comm would come out with a short-range radio transmitter( pager type device) . That way, you could clip it on your belt and ride around the block or so-- and still get the messages sent to your Truck.

 

Today while passing through Amarillo- I stopped in at The Big Texan and "tried to eat the whole thing"-- that 72oz Steak with all the trimmings.

I failed-- actually I knew I couldn't before I tried-- just did it "to say I been there- done that"

I managed to eat 51oz of the 72, cleaned off the baked potato, half of the wheat roll, all three of the fried shrimp...didn't touch the salad( I knew I'd be taking some of that HOME in a doggie bag- might as well be the salad.
I gave up with 18 minutes left on the one hour clock/timer.

Tonight, I'm at the Pilot- Jamestown, NM- in the am I'm gonna take the other 21oz of steak in and see if they will throw it on the grill & add 3 eggs, some hashbrowns, etc.

 

Ahhh, a fellow BMXer, eh? I raced for 7 years and phased out of it at 20 when I racing 18-20X and Cruiser. Done some pretty big gaps at the trails in my day. I still ride when I got time, but I toned it down since I have a lot to stay in one piece for (now that I'm o/o)

 

The Best Western in Cleavland, TX because about 120 miles away on friday, my EGR valve decided to go causing my truck to lose almost all power and smoke like a steam train. $1400 and 120 miles of towing later I'm here and won't be rolling till middle of this week. :evil: :x :evil: :x
