Third on my husbands solo trip with May Trucking (his first job) yes he hit a light pole and a tree as many people on this board know. And the light pole could have used epoxy to make it as good as new even this according to the guy fixing it but instead the Bureau of Land Management insisted that they wanted a new base. And a tree for $ 12,000.

And his crime was an accident and stupid people that could not bother to identify themselves so that my husband could give them the proper information. Yes, in order to not have to go down and fight it we made a plea but you know something it is NONE of your business of what fine is or how much or when we will pay! If you wish to begin another topic with regards to monitoring all people who are paying for any fines imposed by state and federal government please do so. I am going to ask you a few questions and would appreciate an answer without the insults and jabs.

First of all what do you think Hemispheric Integration will solve?

How do you see this good for our economy?

Do you feel it helped the European Union solve it's problems?

I know you feel if we pour our money and resources into Mexico and other countries in South America this will help their economy and stop them from flowing over the border.

My feeling is we have a huge deficit at this time. Social Security which our citizens have paid in for most of their lives is in trouble because the government did not set that aside for what it was suppose to be used for.

Mexico has been a country longer than us. They have wonderful beaches and great resources but because of corruption in the government and high crime their country is what it is.

My feeling is take care of our problems in this country first. I am against Hemispheric Integration with Mexico and Canada and the rest of South America. I like our Independence...Bill of Rights... and our Constitution.
And Mexico and Canada feel they should look after their best interest also and I don't blame them.

And what on earth are you speaking about having more than 3,000 more people in this country die? Wake them up to what? And what do you think they should do when they wake up?

I find it hard to believe that anyone would actually welcome this.

As far as border security and truckers (that is aside from the economic ramifications) it is my belief that the terrorist are not stupid and they do have financial backing. How difficult do you think it would be to secure someones smart pass either by bribery or theft? And we know that many OTM (other than Mexicans) have been streaming through the border. I know they caught some that were dressed in Western clothes from terrorist countries speaking in Arabic. The United States has asked for a report on how many OTM from terrorist countries have been through the catch and release program. I feel that security issues are a valid concern.
