huh? Glen Beck does both, Hannity does both. Lots of people do both terrestrial and satellite radio. Howard wouldn't do both, hell he can't work 5 days a week let alone the work of 2 shows. But Howard doesn't need to work or try to do 2 shows. I don't like him BUT you have to respect him. Any one that can get a 5 year deal for 500 million deserves respect. I doubt O&A will ever get a deal that big, but I still like them.

 

Glenn Beck and Hannity are radio people that do satellite. O&A are satellite people that do radio. There is a difference.


As far as the original report you presented, I am actually surprised that Howard Stern is still responsible for 10% of the incoming Sirius subscriptions. I would have expected that most people who signed up to hear him would have already done so (hence the fact that Sirius's numbers went up so quickly). The fact that anyone is still citing him as a reason is icing on the cake, considering the small amount of advertising that Sirius does for his show.

 

O&A have been doing radio long before satellite came along.

 

Not after they got fired. They were re-born on satellite, and then went back to radio - unlike Glenn Beck and Hannity, who had popular radio shows, and then augmented it wih satellite.

 

my point was that o&a went to satellite exclusively and found out that not many people would pay for them. so they now broadcast on free radio also. the others you mention never tried to go exclusivley satellite.

 

I just got XM. I found a promo code online that waived the connection fee and gave me 3 mos for free! after that i guess ill have to set up a subscription....I dont care for Nascar because its stupid with its going round in circles and super-commercialized deal...I dont care for Stern either. Id rather have more types of music and news...

I got sirius for stern but I now I would rather Listen to btls . The fact is wether you like sirius or xm the fact is I like hearing the whole show . Not the watered down versions you use to get because the morality police dont think people should be able to think for themselves. UNCENSORED is well worth the monthly fee
