Report: Satellite radio retail down, Stern a non factor.
#1
Bridge Ratings is reporting in their latest Satellite Radio Consumer Trend that that Thanksgiving Weekend retail sales are down 31.5% from the same period in 2005.
Bridge did say that they expect the coming weeks to improve comparatively, but that YoY retail sales will likely fall very short of 2005's final results. Bridge estimates that retail will be off 23% - 25% for 4Q06 sales when compared to the same period last year. As for Stern's influence: Bridge found that Stern influenced 52% of Sirius subscription decision, between October 2005 and November 2005. Last week, Bridge Rating's interviews found that only 14% of Sirius subscriber decisions were influenced by Stern - and has fallen to the lowest point in months for this week: only 10%. They also conclude that November's free Sirius Internet Radio offer did not impact retail sales, but appears to have impacted Internet sales. http://www.orbitcast.com/ Ouch thats gonna hurt Sirius's numbers.

Are you mad because XM blows and lost Nascar to Sirius? :P :P Of course sales are down, Stern fans, or anybody for that matter aren't going out every month and replacing their receivers. The initial rush of needing a receiver is over and now it's more or less new subscribers trickling in. The Nascar deal is going to be cool. Along with the live radio broadcast they are going to broadcast live in car to pit audio for 10 different race teams on 10 different channels uncensored. We'll be able to hear them talk like truckers

Just trying to get you going Ken.
Well the Jb Hunt thing...... I finished every thing Thursday so I came home because they didn't have any trucks and I have been waiting for a truck? I guess they are short on trucks or this weather is causing problems... i dunno? Been calling my driver manager person and she says keep calling back. I not really the type of person to raise hell, bitch or complain about something and I understand at the end of the week they have alot of new drivers coming in and they need trucks too. So in the meantime just sitting here waiting patiently.
