Default Inquireing mind would like to know?

Here's a question for someone. We had a May Trucking T/T at our loading dock lastnight. Before he bumped the dock, he put down a huge piece of cardboard under the trailer tandems, and another huge piece under the tractor tandems. Why would he do this?

Well, if the cardboard was for the drives, I would guess, he did it in case of ice :?: The cardboard for the trailer, I wouldnt have a clue. I've never seen it, either, but the other fellers here, who have more miles backing up :P ,might can answer it for ya. 8)

My Highly Educated Guess???

This driver for May Trucking has internalized a considerable degree of anger that has festered through the years. Rolling tires over cardboard is a dead giveaway sign of a repressed child whose mother over salted his hamburger.

This driver is in very serious need of intervention counseling.

Default Just a WAG here..

If there was ice, maybe he was trying to keep his warm tires from melting into it and getting him stuck?

Covered loading dock, no ice. Temps have been in the mid 40's at night.
Interesting to say the least.

Should have taken the time to walk out and ask him. I would have enjoyed that comedy show.

I am sure that he had a very logical reason in his feeble pea sized brain.
