I have been a Stern listener for about 15 years, just started listening to O&A when they were on the premium channel at XM.

I still listen to both,I record O&A on my INNO(because I can FF thru the free fm commercials), and listen to Howard live, except Fridays of course and any of the other 80 days of vacation he gets.

To be honest if it wasn't for Artie I think the show would suffer terribly, you cannot tell me that the show is not 10x more gay now that Sal and Richard are on the show much more. And the sybian thing just doesn't do it for me,I mean the internet is for porn, porn porn.

The O&A show is much more of a hang out with your good freinds type of show and just BS,while Howard's show is much different and more of a controlled show without alot of busting on each others balls. To be perfectly honest Robin is the worst thing on that show, between constant interupting of Howard and trying to take over interveiws to thinking that she made that show,Fred makes me laugh every day with his laughing track after the most heinous crime that day ie:Baby killed in microwave today(insert Gilbert laugh here).

I have turned on 3 of my freinds to O&A and they all listen religously can't say the same about Howard.

As far as XM vs. Sirius,I love XM technology and reception and clarity, but IMO Sirius music channels are much better than XM,I am a big nascar fan but rarely ever listen to them on XM so that won't be that big of change for me,Listen to alot of baseball and hockey on XM and listen to some NFL on sirius.

I have to agree, the show wouldnt be near as good without Artie, Sal and Richard are gay, but they are hilarious. I also agree the sybian is a big bore. maybe the rumor about x/m and sirius merging will come true and we will have the best of both worlds. The owner of sirius has sais he would be willing to talk while the owners of x/m have declined comment, so who knows? anyway, let me ask everyone this. after having either satellite radio, would you EVER go back to free fm again?

Mel would like to merge because XM has a solid plan on becoming financially responsible and dare I say profitable, while Sirius is hemorrhaging money,it really doesn't make any sense for XM to merge they are doing much better in alot of areas than Sirius, remember that Howard will be done in 4 years.
As far as local radio,I do listen to local radio for sports stations and always check for local weather and traffic.

Fu*k NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it !!!!!!!!!!! Even though I'm currently running local and home every night I still listen to it all day long. My parents went on a road trip to see my grandma in California, I let them borrow it for the 2 weeks they were gone and I was bored out of my mind!!!!!! I just about went out and bought another receiver but then they finally came home.

I've always listened to Howard so I can't really bash anyone else but it's just what I like. I also subscribe to Howard TV On Demand and it just makes it that much better. There's hours on end of shows. There's stuff from the day before and other stuff from years ago that fun to watch.

Howard's current contract ends in 4 years, doesn't mean he won't renew. However, my personal opinion is that he probably will not continue in 4 years. At least that's the vibe I get. Just my opinion though.

I wouldn't think he will continue either,he will probally just work on the programing of his channels and retire to Anguilla.

I don't mind Howard, but the other hacks on his channel are just awful.
BTLS......yeech

you need to read the real facts and not the reports put out by free radio like the one posted here, if you check the REAL facts, you will see that sirius is rapidly catching up and x/m is rapidly falling behind. the real losers in all of this will be free radio because it just sucks. 22 minutesof commercials every hour? no thanks
