Created so perfect...even he felt he was greater than God...completely self-righteous. One point he failed to notice....God gives him his life...and has the power to lock it up. Not destroy it...because he created this life to be immortal, but he can allow it to do this, and not allow it to do that. Case in point...the story of Job. He told the Devil..he can do this to Job, but he can not do that, etc. And what was Job?? self-righteous, proving even we will do no better.

Eventually, after the Day of Judgement, He vows to lock this evil away forever, and the fallen Angels with him. All the mortal humans, who choose to follow this evil, as did even the fallen Angels (so no surprize if powerful beings like Angels will follow this evil, even so will there be mortal humans as well.) will be burned from existance...since those are mortal lives. Greater mercy for those weaker.

Okay we've set the stage, we call this World. This World which is still under the power of the Devil. Why? Because God gave the Throne of this World to him. One has qualified to succeed this Throne. Christ. But has not been given this Throne as yet. That day will come...and maybe soon. Only God knows that day.

He is running a fair Court for all mankind, and even the Fallen One's. We are witnessing all the events, and each life is representing certain aspects of this case. The Fallen Ones are being given time to do their deeds, and do what they do.

Answer to the age old question...WHY DOES GOD ALLOW THIS? He is allowing exactly what we asked for. We have turned our backs on Him over and over. Everything anyone has ever done in the Bible that "shocks us" we will and do choose to do the same. We are seeing the results of our choices, and of our actions.

Now the day of Judgement approaches...what does God say will happen? Look around you. And the future will be played out even as He said it will. What else does He say will happen? The Devil seeing his time draw to a close becomes more angry. God begins to "allow" him to get away with more of what he does....destroy.

What else do you see the Devil do? DECIEVE....God says so much so...even the WHOLE World is decieved. What would be a no.1 target??
Why...yes...religion. Turn this all into a confusing bunch of crap, the cause of hate and wars, of arguments...make people shake their heads at the very idea of a GOD. Thereby even dispelling if God is real.

How can God allow this....hey show us a SIGN if you are real. That's right we arrogant decieved back turners...demand God kiss our butt...or else...what? After all, He showed us many miricles, and even within a short time we were right back to turning our backs. Lot of good any miricle ever did us. No...He has a better idea. Maybe instead of arguing over nothing, or simply falling for deceptions...we could just leave it be.

Chances are very good we are not chosen to understand any of this anyway. Actually...that would make us one of the lucky ones. We don't want to be one of the chosen....because, if we are...there is a certain light around us, and we are a walking ground zero. The REAL target.
Again, don't worry, there are very, very, VERY few humans alive on this planet who are truely working for God...and some don't even know that position is theirs. They wouldn't understand the TRUTH...wanna know why. It is ONLY revealed by GOD Himself, or you would merely be decieved as all the world is.
Me?...I am just a guy like anyone else. I don't know anything, but my opinion...and I am simply stating a "lets just suppose" kinda thing here.

It is a good thing to live by the teachings of God of the Bible, but please keep in mind, you will never know the TRUTH if it smacked you upside your head...in this life. You are being decieved. Being decieved even means...you don't even realize you are being decieved.

Look, there is a plan for mankind. It is righteous and beautiful, and makes perfect sense of ALL of this insanity. We do have a purpose. Each and everyone of us..even the ones killed in the womb, have a purpose. No one of us is alone or forgotten. Not every one of us will be given eternal life. That choice will be their's though, and no one elses. One thing to think about, if you have the blessing to consider, try mearly considering your own behavior, and actions while you live the life God is giving you. You know what, you don't even have to believe in Him, because like I said, chances are HUGE, you would never know Him in this life anyway.

I don't mean to step on toes, or point fingers, or tell anyone they are wrong. I think this discussion is great. I don't think anyone here is right or wrong. We all have our views and opinions, and obviously care enough about each other to take the time of day to express ourselves. Whatever your motivation does not matter either. Can you honestly say you are right and I am wrong? Think I care? Think God cares? Think it matters?
Whatever has been said or done under the sun, has already been said and done already. Live. ..then die. Nothing in this life you want. Trust this too...everything in this life will be burned up. All you will be bringing with you is your existance, and the witnessing of events while you lived under the Devil. You will be granted another mortal life under Christ, then Judged. That's when you will need to look back and decide what to believe....and how to live. Right now...only a select few have a rats ass chance in HELL, to coin a phrase that seems aprapo'.
You or me, do NOT want to be one of the chosen!! Those people will really be EARNING their place next to God. Only God will be giving them the strength to even survive the odds against them. They will also be our teachers in the next mortal life. They are not teaching right now. Listen, only God can explain His teaching to you. Only He can open your eyes, your heart, and your mind to see and understand. Don't even pray for that my friends. They say ignorance is bliss....yeah baby...give me some ignorance please.
If God does want you to work for Him...look at Jonah. There is no saying no to God.
Very good RoadHog!

I said that, because- If a person decide's to have no belief, therfor that is there belief. If you choose not to decide, you've still have made a choice!
A relegion chooses what you are to believe in, a belief is what you believe in!

I am a Christian a child of God, we all know this, but I claim NO denomination, Nor do I consider myself religious. I follow what I myself believe to be the Word of God.

Religion I think is putting God in a box, and saying what He can be, according to a select set of mans rules.
A belief in God like my own, is learning of God, and that His ways are not my ways, and trusting in Him, to teach me of Himself.

If a person doesnot believe in a god, or some form of diety, are usualy considered athiest, this is a choice also, Should we get ride of there belief also?

This is why I stated this! For if we, did what you suggested, then you also Fozzy would have to join the ACLU, matter of fact every one would, for that would have to be the belief, and then that would have to be ride of. Thus we would have to be mindless, and ceast to exist!

Hi Slim,

Good to see you back! I did figure that you would not be gone for long though.

I have not kept up with this thread for a few days because it started off as prophesy and I have enough trouble figuring out the present. My commentary in most cases concerning prophesy usually consists of little more than "que ser? ser?".

Mr. bighead,

I think you asked a question about the purpose of Jesus' sacrifice. I think Slimland answered you well enough. I would like to add something to that.

As I see it, the events of that day paint the vile portrait of humanity. Everyone is in the picture, represented by one or more of the people who were actually there that day.

Every time someone trespasses against the Law of God, it is representative of someone who was there at Christ's crucifixion whether it be mocking him, spitting in his face, bloodying him with whips, banging spikes through him, piercing his side with a sword, jamming a crown of thorns into his head, and any other of these kind of acts that went on there that day for the "crime" of governing in accordance to his will instead of ours.

So why does it have to be in the confines of Religious teaching? This is what I am getting at, Your statment above indicates that to get rid of religion, and the reson is, is because religion has a screwed up concept of God. So why do you have to be confined to religion, why can't you just be a believer? Getting rid of religion does not get rid of God, matter of fact I would think that getting rid of religion, would bring you closer to the truth of God, if the search is real.
The search for truth doesn't - and shouldn't be, in my opinion - centered around any of the currently popular religions. And christianity falls in that catagory.
In my belief system Jesus has nothing to do with god - that is, no more than you or I. And the Bible is nothing more than a collection of myths and fables with no connection to truth except perhaps in an incidental manner.

I have never seen a collection of myths and fables, more accurate about history, and futur events, than that of the Bible!

Jesus being the Truth and the Light, this is why the Trust in Him.

That is a belief, that has no limitations, a religion give's limitations!

The christian view of god is to god what Mickey Mouse is to nature.

Christians have assigned human qualities to god. The gave him a son (even though they believe he was able to create everyone else out of clay!), gave him A Word, A Will, A Temper (I'll just drown 'em all!), a Plan, and then they debate the meaning of all the things they have assigned him.......sort of like debating the meaning of Mickey Mouse having four fingers, IMO.

Quote:
if we do more than the commandments require for a few years, what condemnation is there? I would rather err on doing more than is required than less so I am not condemned. If I look at the years I might have left on earth and stack them up against eternity, I can no longer find the years I might have left on earth.

Could you explain what you meant by this ChapChap?

The Just shall live by faith!
It is by Grace you are saved, it is the gift of God!

And yes, we are saved unto good works! Show me your faith without the works, then faith is dead! BUT, show me your faith by your works, and faith is alive and well!

Is this what you meant?
Hi Slim,

The short answer is no. I need more time that I have now to explain it. I'll try to explain in the near future.
