Default Sirius -Volvo hardwire help.

I just got issued a 2008 Volvo with a Delco -Delphi CD player. Anybody out there know where to buy the input plug or how to hardwire into it so I can get my Sirius radio to work. The FM transmitter is worthless. In the Freightliner the cassette adapter did the trick, but no such thing with a cd player. Unfortunitly Sirius customer service is not willing to support there product.

I know XM radios you can buy an adapter that plugs into the antenna wire. There may be something similar for Sirius radios.

You need to check if the cd player has an "aux in".

Those ones that hardwire into the FM still aren't very good.

This radio has a Aux in for a cell and one for GPS audio, they are two small plug recepticals. It would not probably be stereo but for talk radio, news, weather, road reports it would be better than nothing.

Go with that over the FM hardwire kit.

You lose quality converting to FM, then back.

I noticed a big difference, plus it was nice never having to change radio stations!
