Pardon my lazyness, but why did you leave Aartman? Would you recommend them to a guy who needs to get his foot in the "tanker door"? Superior is like any good chemical tanker company....they have specific hiring areas, and tend to hire only within those areas. And they can be very specific about their hiring requirements. A Hazmat endorsement is a necessity, or getting one prior to going there is also. I know you want to hear it from him....but I think he'll tell you its a good place to work..... "The Slacker".... is home right now....but I'm sure he'll poke his head up before long...

That's just wrong man!
Should have a pretty busy day tomorrow...Debbie had Tom drop his load nearby so he could grab another one and keep running, so I'm gonna run that to Green Cove, then back to Jax to drop the dirty tank and grab a clean one, then up to good old Riceboro and grab another preload bound for Kankakee whenever on Friday. Whew, don't know how I'm going to do it :P!!! Wesland, here ya go... Jim Aartman (Ripon, CA) 800-871-9038, ext. 143 Jon Pfitzer Superior Carriers (Garden City, GA) 866-439-7727, Debbie Long

Sounds good.
Just FYI, I talked to a chemical tanker about a year ago in Mississippi who was quitting because he had recently been diagnosed with a rare and deadly form of cancer and was getting off the road ASAP to get full time medical care. He swore that the exposure to all the different chemicals he hauled played a part in his sickness. He said he didn't smoke, never picked up a drink in his life and ate his veggies. Take it for what it's worth... |
