She may have the wrong telephone # for you Mack! Just keep trying. You'll get through!

If you have any further problems, I would suggest that you contact one of our newest board members, Coolio!

Coolio really seems to know what he is talking about! Coolio probably knows a bit about LTL if you need some advice.

rather than play phone tag, do two things. first, send her an email. on the pyle home page, click on "about us", then "contact us" to send the message to HR.

then call them and ask for the shop. they usually don't care who's calling. say that you were transferred there by mistake, could they transfer you to HR? most personnel departments will answer calls from within, but screen outside calls.

i bet you wish you had some otr and night driving experience..but hey, like you all say all the time, those jobs are bottom feeders and to do one would be beneath you. my opinion is that you are NOT qualified for the position and no one can help you...not even your so called inside help. from what i hear that is a good company..too bad for you. maybe there are other rock hauling jobs you could go do, seeing as you have ZERO experience needed to get into a good company like pyle. just my opinion.

Dear Brandon,

Thank you for expressing an interest in a position with A. Duie Pyle, Inc.

I received your resume and have tried to contact you but I am not able to reach you. Please call me at your earliest convenience to discuss possible employment opportunities at A. Duie Pyle, Inc.

I know my phone is working fine. All my friends call me and leave voice mails. So i think that may be Bullshit. I called her back again today after i got this email and still no answer. Will call again 2morrow if i don't hear from her.

Did you reply to the e-mail? Include your phone number and the best time to reach you.

I have to agree with JD on this one. The zero OTR experience not so much(I have zero OTR experience but I do have REGIONAL driving experience) but the NO NIGHT driving experience is going to be a killer.
Me, I love driving at night. I turned my run into a night run for that reason

Well i guess driving a tri/axle and a lowboy for my current company. Hauling track hoes with permits cuz gross weight is around 95,000lbs i guess I'm not qualified to pull a van .

I have drove night just not alot of it. By the way whats the big deal about night driving. If anything i think it is easier cuz no one is on the road. Un like 6am intill 6pm when the roads are packed.

BTW JD i will never do OTR. If a job wants OTR exp. well they can go to hell. easy as that.

I called the lady back 2 times today no answer i will be emailing her again right now.

Jd you may be right. But I'm going to try like hell to get in. My inside help said he did all that he can do. But pyle must think i am some what qualified for the job. Cuz they sent me an app. back in an email and they sent another email saying they have been tryin to contact me. We will see. But if i don't get it its not the end of world i will just keep on lookin. I will find something.

I've never heard of this requirement before while at Yellow, Conway or UPSF. But working nights is different. It can be very hard to sleep during the day. And you cant stay up goofing off either, you have to get your sleep. Your run is on a schedule and they expect you to stick to it. No napping, they figure its your responsibility to come to work properly rested. Also some people dont see as well at night, especially in rain or bad weather. There's more fog at night too. I wouldn't say night driving is harder just different, you have to get used to it.

I think they just want to make sure you can follow a map/road sign, deal with a weigh station, know the laws, HOS rules, etc, etc. You'd be surprised how many local drivers can't do some of these things because they were never trained or didnt have to worry about it.

Conway right down the street from pyle is hiring also. Maybe i need to stop in and see what they are all about.

I see what your saying snowman. I told them on my resume i have used quallcomm before and Log Books when i worked at venezia and aqua. So i know all about weigh stations and HOS. Like i said i ain't to worried about it. I hope i get the job but if not it isn't the end of the world.

That all depends on what the insurance company thinks.

It's a BIG DEAL. It takes time to adjust to sleeping when the sun is up and being awake when the sun is down. Yes, traffic is lighter then during the day but also a lot more dangerous. I lost count of how any times in one night I get pushed onto the berm of the road because of a tired driver not keeping control of his/her truck. You may also find out that you are not a night owl and cannot stay awake all night. Some people just can't do it.

BOL with Pyle and have patience.
