Well boys and girls, seems it's that time again-- Spring right around the corner, you've just made it through your first Winter perhaps it's time to pay back that cock-XXXking company that's given you your start in the industry, but non-the-less, has also been anal raping you all these months.
Is it time to hop, like the Easter bunny? I'm thinking so.....I'm on day 2 of setting on a load of paper 10 miles from the receiver-- the company wouldn't dream of letting me drop it at a yard--- they might have had trouble getting it "covered" by another driver--- seems that's all they do now-- is "cover" loads--no management of truck production--- this is called "zone dispatch" and I've felt this problem before --- Name me a good company; while I run this application into the fax machine.

But, I'm not so sure I'd be as lucky with good driver friendly reefer freight there-- or for that matter It would be risky anywere-- I really believe I got pretty lucky with Shaffer in that reguard. Also, not sure if KLLM will get me home ok without a struggle. Currently, I'm putting another application in now with a Dry van carrier. And A.D. Transport is a strong #2 possibility--- but only pays .41 cpm. Same gamble with "hometime" Did you have a Reefer suggestion for me to explore? My "job seeking' radar is fully active right now?

as much flex as I can get by with. usually I stay out 18days- then 3 at home or 21days- 3 at home or 4 weeks- 4 days home or 6 weeks- still only 4 days home( more than 4 days leaves me without a paycheck for over a week) but the only way a carrier gets me to say out that long is by throwing the freight at me STEADY. the bad news is -- the freight dries up when you're farthest from home. |
