well, I was looking at KLLM as a possibility-- they offer me .43 cpm+ no hazmat requirement.

But, I'm not so sure I'd be as lucky with good driver friendly reefer freight there-- or for that matter It would be risky anywere-- I really believe I got pretty lucky with Shaffer in that reguard.

Also, not sure if KLLM will get me home ok without a struggle.

Currently, I'm putting another application in now with a Dry van carrier.

And A.D. Transport is a strong #2 possibility--- but only pays .41 cpm.

God bless the job hoppers who help me pay for all my toys. Until the job hopper hops too many times and I can no longer find them any companies that will take them.

 

Running my arse off for the past month and change, but we do make a little less per mile than you guys do.

If you have experience which I'm guessing you do why don't you try to get on with a private carrier ? Most of them rarely make you wait . I don't get the job hopping from one common carrier to another .

 

I don't think I'm anywhere close to reaching that point of "undesireable" stage.

14 years of current varifable experience, 4 common carriers total. Clean MVR.

 

So I take it your 48hr+ of babysitting their freight is uncompensated?

 

as much flex as I can get by with.

usually I stay out 18days- then 3 at home
or 21days- 3 at home
or 4 weeks- 4 days home
or 6 weeks- still only 4 days home( more than 4 days leaves me without a paycheck for over a week)

but the only way a carrier gets me to say out that long is by throwing the freight at me STEADY.

the bad news is -- the freight dries up when you're farthest from home.
