I'm looking for info on the Gulf Port operation for Knight. I have searched all of the Knight posts but have not seen anything about Gulf Port. I would appreciate info on miles I can expect, lanes, etc.

When I was with Knight in '05 I met several drivers from the Gulfport terminal and for the most part they seemed pretty happy with the way things were ran there. As far as lanes go, that pretty much is between you and your dispatcher and if you want to stay regional or go OTR and how often you want to be home. I met GP drivers in KC, LA, Atlanta, Florida, and PA. (I never went farther into the NE than PA by choice.

They have a bunch of trucks(not sure how many...but more than 12) dedicated to hauling product out of the DuPont DeLisle palnt, to the Port of new Orleans.....mostly Containers. They also have trucks dedicated from DeLisle to Front Royal VA and Detroit. DuPont makes pigment powder for paint at DeLisle.
