My husband is on the reefer side out of the Payette, Idaho terminal. My two brother in laws are also on the reefer side out of Layton, Utah. My husband was a company driver for them for almost 2 years before we took the plunge and bought a truck. We have been treated great there. Both brother in laws are also O/O for May. We have no complaints. He is always running and has only been late getting home twice. Once was because of weather the other time was because another driver needed to get home for family emergency so husband traded loads with him. Both times he was only late by a couple of days. We are always treated with respect at each terminal.

Best of luck to you.

After bills and expenses were taken care of, what would you say your husband and family members were taking home at the end of the year being O/O's with May? Was it worth the plunge?

We bought our truck in October so can't give a full year. With that said with all expenses plus putting money away for quarterly taxes bring home for us since the first of October was a little over $8000.00 when all was said and done. We watch the spending out there on the road. I do all the budgeting for all of it and check online for all the fuel prices for him. The other family members did pretty good too. I have no complaints. For us personally it was worth the plunge as we have always wanted to be O/O and we had the chance to get into it now.

That was for 3 months only October, November and December. He also took time off in December about 8 days.
