When I was with May, I refused a 28 drop nursery load, but it was only in MN and WI. Not this 2000 mile crap your hubby just did. Although, this one sounded nice with the long distances in between.

I think that 28 drop nursery load would have paid me about $1100 with drop pay, but the chore would have been finding a place to sleep at the end of each day. They found me a nice single drop load instead.

Another time I did a run from Qunicy, WA to Vineland, NJ, dropped a few pallets, then ran up to Guilderland Center, NY to drop the rest. That was over 3000 miles plus drop pay.

I know he was glad that the load had ended. You take the good with the bad. He got to see his parents and his cousin on this load. Plus even though it was some what a pain he still was running.

Thanks for the good wishes.

28 drops  My husband thought that 12 drops was allot! His trip was actually 4138 with the 12 drops so at least it was spread out. He told me driving from Texas up to Commerce City he had already felt as if though he was empty. Aluminum does not weigh as much as other metals and he had dropped off most of his loads by then.

Finding places to sleep can sometimes be a problem. That is one thing you have to definitely plan for and be there early before the truck stops get all filled up.

Yesterday my husband picked up his new load in Odgen, Utah. It is salt in blocks. He drove to Blackfoot, Idaho were he stopped for the night.

This morning when he began driving he said that he began to lose power and his fuel light came on. He called the office. He then switched out one of his fuel filters. He said it was alright for a little while then the same thing began happening. He had to turn back and drive about 45 miles to the nearest gas station. He called into the office and they told him it sounded as if his fuel had gelled

He filled up the gas tank and switched both fuel filters. He then went to start the truck and nothing. So he called the office and they sent someone out for repair. It seems that the fuel filter he had put in did not need a gasket and the one he had in prior to the new one had a gasket and needed it. So there was just a small enough gap for air to get though and the truck would not start.

It was cold in Blackfoot, Idaho last night and the initial problem was from the cold weather gelling up the gas.

Tonight he is in Butte, Montana we had very bad reception on the phone. I think he is going to be staying at the receiver in Richland, Montana as there are no truckstops any where nearby. Hopefully his gas will not gel up in Richland.

He said he had put something in the gas tank last night to stop the gas from gelling up but it still did.

Okay guys! Fuel! How is that? When we were younger we referred to it as diesel gas. That is why I called it gas.

My husband drove up to Richland Montana yesterday! He said there was NOTHING up there. One General Store a small post office and around six homes  At least he got to listen to the Super Bowl on his Sirius radio.

He dropped his load this morning. His driver manager told him to drive into Glasgow and fuel up and then call him back. When my husband called his driver manager back he was told that it would difficult to get him a load home or through this way from there. So he told him to just come home and he would put him out of service until Monday and if my husband wanted to head out before then he could. He will be driving 710 miles empty to get home for his time off.

I think he will stay home until Monday as we have promised the 7 year old a trip to Chuckey Cheese when dad comes home.

She has not had the opportunity to go to Chucky Cheeses much because it is around 45 minutes to an hour away.

As for me and my life I am going to put the following problem that I had to deal with this weekend as a WARNING for you all to read every line of something before you sign it.

My mom had received a Demand For Payment In Full (Private Lender). She holds the first on a note. It is a long story but I am the trustee on the deed of trust in order to protect her interest.

In this letter that was from the loan service (not the title company) was the amount due (left blank for her to fill in)and owing and that was the only thing her and my step-dad were told this letter was about.

Then I read : The undersigned beneficiary hereby surrenders the original Note and Deed of Trust. Further, the undersigned agrees to mark PAID IN FULL on the face of said Note and on the reverse of the Deed of Trust, the undersigned agrees to fully execute and date the same as a REQUEST FOR FULL RECONVEYANCE.

I told her there was no way she was signing it. There was nothing about payment or upon receipt of payment. I called the Title Company this morning and the guy is merely paying off the second NOT the first to MY MOTHER.
She does not want a balloon payment and collects this money for her income. But for the Loan Company to send her this basically saying she is surrendering the note and marking paid in full is a scary thing. It could have ended up being a horrible legal mess. So please even if you think something is a simple contract read every and each line!

Mom is not doing well. She finished her antibiotics last week and her infection is coming back. The doctor told her that the antibiotic is toxic and if they keep her on it...it will kill her. He told her that if the infection is not gone....it will kill her. So we are thinking about calling a disease specialist.

Nana's ankle is healing well. She is still going to therapy twice a week.

I am going to get off the computer and busy cleaning! Being sick last week and everyone keeping me so busy I have to go catch up!

My husband stayed in Shelby, Montana last night at a Pilot Truckstop. He said that there were not many parking spaces there. He said it was one of the nicest truckstops he had been in. Two drivers lounges, reclining couches, pool table.

He drove by Glacier and is seeing some beautiful country. He is enjoying this drive.

The kids do not know he is coming home and will be very surprised when they see dad today in the mini-van when we pick them up from school.

GFIW,

Sorry to hear about your mom's situation. At least you were there to make sure things didn't go south on that contract and I am truly sorry to hear of her health. I put her in my prayers and hopefully everything will work out.

On a more positive note, i am happy to see that your hubby is doing well and he will be home today. I bet the kids will be more than pleasantly surprised to see daddy......as well as mommy
