Quote: well things didnt go all that great for hubby this week. he wont make it home for the weekend  we knew this may be a possibility this week cause of the holiday and all. i was looking forword to seeing him tho, and he wanted to see the kids. guess this is just something we will have to get used to. i hope from now on he gets home on the weekend, but I guess I wont know for sure till I see him walk through the door.
TL, I just made it home today from all that, I was stuck in Joplin Wednesday due to the holiday. Loaded yesterday morning, but had a slight mechanical issue that kept me from making it home last night. All in a days work. As with anything, sometimes even the best layed plans come undone.

I guess he was one of the group that had to pick up in South Carolina, those guys did not even leven DM until Wednesday afternoon.

louis, he picked his truck up in Indiana. he was stuck there from early Tuesday morning till Thursday morning. the truck was a total mess, i wont even go into detail about it all but it was terrible. Anyhow, on thursday he was dispatched to Wisconsin and this morning learned that he would be going to Michigan. at least he is headed this way, home for next weekend I hope. sorry if I sound like I'm having a pitty party, but I guess I am, I didnt really expect his first week out on his own to keep him out. I'm a big girl and I'll get over it, the kids are more dissapointed then me, I'll just have to do some extra fun things with them over the weekend and this week to make the time go faster.
Stay safe out there Louis,

TL,

You have your support group here also. I am working on getting my better-half on CAD also. She will probably be up and running in a couple of days.

I was a day late getting in, I think my dog (Skye) was the most excited to see me home. That is my biggest gripe with TMC, not being able to have my running companion and security guard with me. Although, she has the chickens and guineas to keep tabs on at the house.

Hi All I'm Baaccckkk,
thought I'd come by for a visit... sounds like everybody, well all on last few pages are Ok....
Q? for you... any of you got a APU yet????
It would seem that TMC is starting to try them on for size...
Carrier
Thermal King
and another one I don't remember the name...
if'n you do,
what do you think about it and what brand is it...

It would appear that Carrier is the easiest for the DM shop to install.. 6 hrs, compared to 4 days on the Thermal King...

Was talking to driver of unit 9441, He has the Carrier on his Pete and He said that it bout froze his _____(bhind) off B4 he learned how to adjust it...
It has already changed his snap-shop points for the better.. With no idle time, woohoo his points jumped upthere...
He likes his Carrier and said that it would make sense if TMC installed on all sleeper units....

well back to the home front we B all good here.. The rain has slowed enough that I might be able to get caught up on the mowing...
Family is Great, Happy adn Healthy...

Glad the rain has stopped at your place, I think there has been something like 45 days straight rain here in Seguin. Had to back my truck down my driveway, since my turnaround area is a small pond right now. Will have to bring in more base and build it up again.

Figures, I have to leave at this afternoon for A.M. delivery, and the rain looks like it is clearing out for a day or two.

As 4 the APU's, I have only seen them on the specialized trucks this far. The carrier appears to be the easiest to install, but is the loudest of all of them. With any luck, when TMC starts recieving the '07's, the will have ordered them with the factory Pete units. Would make the most since. Only time will tell.

i wish we could get some of that rain yall keep talking about. the yard crunches under our feet outside. our county is in a state of emergancy due to th lack of rain.
anyhow, me and the kids went to church this morning and as soon as it starts to cool down some we are going fishing. we live within walking distance of the wildlife management area where they stock trout. this will be their first time going since their daddy started over the road about 3 weeks ago. i hope to bring home dinner LOL.

Just checking in here. Is there anybody in longhaul that actually gets home every other weekend? My hub's trainer and training coordinator are telling him that it is 2-3 weeks. Website says every 14 days guaranteed ??
Things are going well with him and his trainer, except that they haven't made it home due to loads. His trainer is an O/O though, and is a touch pickier about loads than most I think. Word is they will be in this next weekend, which would make it their first time in since they left 2 1/2 weeks ago.
They've been in Utah since Thursday, hoping for a load out on Monday. He was supposed to be done with training on the 13th, but elected to stay his full 4 weeks, because he doesn't feel he has the endurance to secure properly yet.
