Yeah we will see what they come up with for a solution. I wonder if the powers that be monitor this board. I know that the recruiters do.

As to the prettyness of the trucks. I look at it this way, I live in the dang thing 5 days a week. It isn't so important that the truck is pretty and chrome but that it is comfortable. I have seen a lot of rat boxes with McElroy, Maverick, and Arrow written on the side. Not all the drivers are happy either.

It's about the Benjamin's though. The reason I bust my a** flatbedding is because the money was there almost right away for a new driver. I never intended to stay with TMC forever but I wanted to get in a decent year or two. I may end up trying long haul to make up any difference that this new policy will cause in stress and a loss of income. And then...maybe we are just getting ourselves all wound up over nothing.

If TMC doesn't square this away quickly they might consider cancelling the orders for all those 06 Pete's. There won't be anyone to drive them.

Default Busting butt for the $$$$

Yes, I agree that the earning potential right from the start at TMC is very good for a rookie. It was for me too. The problem is your earning potential goes down as your experience and percentage goes up. That's the major problem at TMC. They are too busy monitoring percentage rates of drivers and shuffling around freight to get the highest paying loads on the backs of the lowest percentage drivers.

As far as being comfortable in my truck....I can say I sleep just as good in my new International as I did in my TMC truck, If and when I even have too. When I lay in my bed and close my eyes I can't see all the chrome anyway. And I really sleep better knowing I am banking more money for less work. The hardest thing I do everyday is hop out of the driver seat, walk 53' and close or open the back doors.

I will agree that having TMC on my resume did help me land the job I have now though. Most companies know that if you will put up with TMC's crap you will stick it out through almost anything.

dollar,

In the long run I just may find out that you are 100% correct.

Good luck and be safe.

TMC is the main company that I want to drive for when I get out of school in 2 weeks.
So the biggest complaint is that the drivers are expected to log they're books correctly?
If that's all it is, then I don't forsee any problems. Especially since I'm after a local dedicated route nearby to haul drywall. Hopefully that won't take too long

Tmc drivers, Is there anyway to not boost your percentage? Alot has been said that the higher percentage you have the less money you make so I was wondering if you could just stay at your hiring percentage. Or would it be better now to get paid cpm now that they are bouncing you everywhere?

Blind Driver, I think the main problem that the drivers are having is that with this new system their pay has dropped...considerably by several hundred a month. They would be at the same pay as someone who drives van and that is alot less work than driving flatbed.
