Hey Fred my company hires new drivers and you can make well over 50,000 1st year. Last year i made 50,500 and home every single night. Work around 45-50hrs a week. We have EZPASS so we can use any roads we want. Paid vac. sick days, holidays, personal days. 401k We are all paid by the hr. Anywhere from 17.00-21.00 with OT over 40 and we have a lot of OT if you want it. We have some drivers putting in 65-70hrs a week every week. The company is called AQUA WASTEWATER we pull vacuum tankers. But there is a down side we dont get brand new peterbilts. We run older macks some with out even A/C. but you know what am home every night and never miss a day of pay even when i take off. Not trying to start a fight with you but not everyone cares about big black peterbilts. It would be nice to drive a peterbilt but a peterbilt does not pay the bills.
Not trying to put down TMC i think it is a very good company for the line of work they do.

Not trying to put down TMC i think it is a very good company for the line of work they do. What you say is very accurate for WHERE YOU LIVE. Outside the Philadelphia region, and other major cities, there just aren't the high paying jobs that you have, especially for a new driver. I lived just north of you and there were plenty of local and regional jobs. A good friend of mine works for a Philly regional dry tanker company and makes a bundle of money. Where I live, and where many other posters live, the options are mostly OTR only. The chance of a new, or even experienced, driver getting a job like you have are pretty slim.

This coming week will be my last with TMC so I wish to bid all here a fond farewell.
My "part time" recruiting position with them has been changed to an "in-house" position and although I was offered it if I moved to Des Moines, that's just not an option at this time. As far as driving for TMC I stll love that but I now have a new girlfriend and stepson who need me home more often so I'm putting that on hold. I'll look for a local position here in NY where I can get home early (hopefully) until I can get our affairs "in order". I'll still be posting here from time to time and will let you all know of my progress. Be safe everyone and hope all is well with all of you.

Your right Von cant debate that.
